Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Remember how he called the show "an oasis from the misery" last week?!

    Typo?

RTE's excuse as to why they keep peddling misery porn, by telling us we want almost nothing else. Keeps the budgets down so that the top aid can keep their incomes.

No pearls of wisdom from Captain Kindness this morning? Or has he finally succeeded in scaring everyone of the 9-10 (our club) away?

Quarter of a mill for Claire Byrne.
    Easy money.

Brendan O'Connor is doing alright for himself too. Does he work any more than 2 days for RTE? And I assume he gets a decent wage from Independent Newspapers as well.

Donald Trump had a blended family, too.

I’m sure Tubridy was eulogising that as well, four years ago.

Jayzus, for a station that's supposed to be impartial that's one hell of a simpering intro.

Had to laugh RT struggling to find enough words to describe the acts at that place 2 weeks ago vs yesterday.
'Damaging desks eh, erm, ooh, aaah, um, um, erm, erm oh yeah um, threatening to 'hang Mike Pence'.
Eventually he gets to the cops death.

Is this a special inauguration episode?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,530 ✭✭✭PieOhMy

Joe Duffy is out of control in his behaviour and dosent know how to civil to people but he isnt going to get fired on the spot.

Ryan also talks down to people.
    Hypocrisy.

It’s not as if we have anything else to talk about!

I texted them to ask about RTE fees/salaries. I know, I just wasted 50c!

Somebody actually relieved that their private family funeral was actually nice and private due to Covid restrictions and that she didn't have to shake hands with people she never laid eyes in before.

I was just thinking about all the times I have ever listened to his show, and I can't remember one interview when RT had someone on with a contrasting viewpoint on a subject to himself.

There is never a debate or argument over any subject matter.

All his contributors come on to talk about things he agrees with.

    A very one-sided programme.

I have been saying this for the last 4 years.
My life, my family's life and all of the people I know lives, have been unaffected by Trump being president.

Yet you'd think everyone in the world's lives were ruined by him.

I don't think that's a coincidence. I'd say it's a prerequisite that "callers" are checked out and instructed that the show just doesn't do debate.

Bad line caller ,don't mention the war so to speak.
500k is a drop in the ocean for the RTE golden circle and anyway you know their worth every penny.
