Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. It might be worth checking your local shop as there is loads of special items on sale - e.g. LIDL's own brand Roomba reduced from €100 to €70.

Signing up online for the specials newsletters would be quickest way of finding out unless you have someone on the inside.

I got a lidl catalogue in the shops and it did not appear online until several days later. I wondered if some independent site/blog might have listed it, like got it and scanned or took photos of the pages.

There are a few sites which list lots of offers from various supermarkets.

Unless signing up gets you info quicker? I got a lidl catalogue yesterday and it is not online yet, there was lots of turkish food coming up.

Ahahahaaha I was gonna say loo roll.

I always stock up on the kitchen and loo rolls.

The last few months have been very repetitive.

Yeh saw that last weekend, must be a saver for parents.

It's those type of savers I appreciate though not specifically for my self.

Agree. I buy nappies for my nephews, sister is delighted! I also prefer household items like loo roll, tinfoil, and stuff like olive oil, coffee etc, that I can stock up on. Not keen on meats/pizza's etc at all.

    Those looking for loo paper
9 rolls x3ply for €2.30 from Superdrug. Free delivery if you sign up to their loyalty card.
Works out roughly the same as the Lidl offers

Its a definite improvement, easier to find stuff thanks. Though I suspect their IT bill has led to smaller price cuts for the specials. 19c off a chicken and 10c off an aubergine and they're highlighting them as the very best of the fresh deals this week

Could say every little helps, no wait thats taken

I do see 5C price drops advertised and laugh at the effort taken to advertise it

    Next weekend is pretty poor,
33% off seems to be the new discount

    Champagne or Ice tea?

Champagne has gone up €4 since it was last on offer.

My local store had no signs about this weeks offers, and with the lesser reduction perhaps they are on the way out.

That pretty much sucks. Ah well.

The two things Lidl had going for them were the 1/2 price offers at weekends and the bread. (imo)

Aldi for me from now on. Slightly better quality overall and I'll forgo the bread.

Am I the only one that finds the bready tremendously doughy? Even when you can cut it, you can see it sticking together where it hasn't been cooked out enough.

Yeh can be very hit and miss.

I usually get low GI brown cob and thankfully that one seems to be grand

I find Supervalu breads really good, a bit too good though :o

I find that as the offers have been so bad lately, I've pretty much given up on Lidl. Aldi or supervalu all the way now.

I remember reading here about the Lidl bread and expecting something brilliant. We were really disappointed. I also had it told other people and they were wondering what I was on about because they all felt it was nothing special.

that's the same in most supermarkets - I've generally found the Lidl bread quite good compared to our local SuperValu where they seem to underbake the bread. It depends on the loaf really - Tesco's regular baguettes are fairly meh, but their "Rustic" baguettes are great.

Have to agree with this. I was amazed when I tasted it - and not in a good way. Perhaps if it hadn't been hyped it would have been ok.

The Lidl brown bread is the best you can buy imo, same for their cheese and onion rolls which are my go-to sandwich rolls when Im feeling lazy after work, agree about the rest of their bakery stuff though, very "fake" tasting. Not as bad as the utter muck Tesco are crapping out of their so called bakery these days though.

2 burgers, gluten free crisps, juice and Heinz ketchup

Officially no longer worth the effort. Even the juice is still over a euro a pop.
