Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Guys,

Yes, another... ‘where can I get’ thread..

Was looking at MC Sport for this TRX set but it’s sold out. Does anybody know where else might be a decent place to start looking... thanks for any help.

Just buy a suspension training kit, TRX is a brand name and good marketing you're paying a lot more for a name and the colours yellow and black.

Thanks guys, guess the good thing about TRX too is they include a door anchor in the pack, better to have then to make your own...think there was another called Domyos .https://www.domyos.co.uk/suspension-trainer-dst-100-bluered-id_8559625

Domyos is the a decathlon brand and the one I linked . https://www.decathlon.com/blogs/sports-advice/meet-decathlons-cardio-fitness-yoga-and-pilates-brand-domyos

There is a door anchor, it’s the red plastic thing in the photos

Thanks Ted, I’ll take the plunge I think...

Much better value than the TRX which for what they are and what you get... straps, anchor, bag, a poster, booklet you pay around 30-40 euros , as opposed to 125 for the cheapest trx box with accessories.

So I ordered the Decathlon ones on Friday and they were delivered today.

Online orders get full filled from uk warehouse. There’s a number in their Irish Facebook page Instagram page for the Irish store. Order directly they’ll do fast delivery and also carry more stick than on the website.

Anyway did a workout this morning and found it quite could definitely feel it in arms , chest and core

Personally think gymnastic rings are better. Makes it easier to do things like dips as well.

Any sturdy ropes /straps etc will do.

Any sturdy ropes /straps etc will do.

It’s only 20 euro. Handy using the door anchor , could not do that with a rope

Can someone here advise me TRX exercises for a beginner?

What do you mean by beginner ? Do you mean beginner to fitness or just to TRX?

You can use the straps to make things easier for beginners for things like squats or progressions to pull ups etc.

But if you can already do pulls ups etc that isn't really challenging.

A standing push up using TRX is much easier than a non trx floor push up. But a TRX floor push is more challenging that a normal floor push up.

But things like fall outs etc can be tough and need a bit more fitness.

But if you were fit ..it wouldnt matter if you were just a beginner to TRX.

Are you using TRX to make certain things easier or do you want it to make them harder?

    Beginner to fitness

    Reverse lunges

    Forward lunges

    Inverted rows

    Single leg squat.

    Squats.

    TRX standing push ups

    Jump Squats

    Skaters

    Face pull

    Hamstring curl

    TRX lunge

    Fully fit strong person

    Fall outs

    Bicep curl

    Tricep press

    Single arm row

    TRX floor push ups

    Single arm row.

    TRX plank

    TRX plank with stability ball

    Y raise.

    Lat Pull

    TRX lat pull

You can find examples of the others on youtube too

Be really careful though and pick ones you think are safe for your level.

You can find lots of beginner workouts on youtube too :)

Probably easier for you to follow than asking on here tbh :)

    Good luck!

Great videos, hadn’t seen those before, thanks ILoveYourVibes...

With the brilliant weather I’ve been spending a bit of time over in the park to exercise and a guy I see brings his set over. He attaches them around the crossbar of a football goalpost and does his exercises that way, genius idea and one I’ll be borrowing....

This should be done as close to the post as possible, as its stronger there.

There are strong posts in my park, there are also much weaker looking ones for rugby.
