    The winner of the 2019 National Football League Pools Competition is Boom__Boom!

    Yours Truly was in joint top position with raiders11 at the halfway point, but our eventual champion usurped us in week 5 and never relinquished the lead.

    CollieD - who finished 3rd in our All Ireland Pools in 2018 - and raiders11 complete the Top 3.

    Only 2 posters foresaw Mayo winning the League title (most going predictably with the Dubs), while all but 5 of us correctly predicted the yo-yoing pair of Cavan and Roscommon to go back down to Division 2.

    All but 2 posters correctly selected Donegal to come straight back up to Division 1, while only 1 didn't reckon Derry would make their way out of the basement.

    Of the 26 points on offer for predicting Promotions and Relegations, ShamoBuc did best with 18 points.

    There remains one fixture in this year's League, Laois and Westmeath do battle for the Division 3 title on Saturday coming, though with all due respect to them both, I'm calling this now as Boom__Boom has an unassailable lead at the top, plus I can't be arsed.

    Congrats again to Boom__Boom and thanks to everyone for taking part, that felt like a quick League campaign!

    I'll be getting the Championship Pools up and running in a few weeks time (the Connacht SFC quarter finals are the first Sunday in May), keep an eye out for that.

    Well done Boom_Boom & Thanks so much for doing this Dr KN (the capital letters are the crucial parts!)
    Great effort, and had results up so fast. I am happy enough with my comeback after a few years away resulting in a Europa League spot in 6th. Will look to hit the champions league places when the Championship Pools come around in May!
