Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Overshoes for these cold wet mornings

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/ie/en/shimano-trail-npu-shoe-cover/rp-prod137479

They will hopefully make the commute more bearable than the current twice daily soaking!

Sportful Grupetto Bib Tights to keep my legs warm on my 4 hour spins
Craft long sleeved compression top to keep my upper body warm
Altura winter cycling gloves for the hands.

All ordered from Wiggle and should be with me by tomorrow. Naturally, now that I've ordered some decent cold weather gear, we'll probably have a very mild winter and spring!

Ordered a DHB Windwall base layer and merino wool socks. Was trying to find a Craft Windproof base layer in a big size but difficult to find. Looking forward to testing the Windwall.

Fizik bar tape because I really hate the Bontrager tape I bought before Christmas - stupid brown flecks on black tape that I didn't notice when I bought it in my LBS.

And a Garmin Out Front Mount so I don't have to look down as much - and because I just want one.

Where did you buy the out front mount from?

Endura FS260 bib shorts to finally replace well served Pearl Izumi
Shimano RT66 180mm Disc Rotor to upgrade from well worn 160mm front
Formula RX brake lever to replace failed one (piston sticking in the master cylinder) - incredible 74% off on CRC!
Hero4 silver - decided to bite the bullet... Good deal on CRC including free chest mount.

    Can't wait!

Wiggle. I tried to get the SRAM mount as it's less than half the price of the Garmin mount but it was out of stock.

Kask Mojito helmet, as identified on the Bargain Alerts thread. In the post now from rutland, so hoping it's here for the weekend (although not sure I'll be needing extra vents given the forecast).

SKS raceblade mudguards, for the rose bike I bought last summer. Bought them from Rose with the "points" I received for buying the bike - so I am paying postage but the mudguards (along with a few bidons and a set of long tyre levers) are free, or rather paid for in points. They gave me €53 worth of points to spend based on the purchase of the bike.

So had a bit of gip with ordering a gabba long sleeve with Evans, great price but the wait was too long. Started at 2 days then was pushed out to 4 weeks. Canceled the order and went with an espresso elsewhere. I'm a cold fish so hope I made a right call, anyone want to affirm my decision?? Have a gabba convertible and love it but find myself wearing an underlayer and a short sleeve jersey too it when it's Baltic. It arrives tomorrow so really only looking for folk to tell me I'm right!

Looking for a new saddle and was going to ask why you chose this saddle and then I saw it was a womans saddle when I looked it up on Wiggle.

You'd think the "Diva" in the name would have gave it away... :P

  • Registered Users Posts: 516 ✭✭✭wuzziwig

LOL, yeah Diva does give it away a bit. I tried it already on loan from my LBS and it's the biz. They can only get it in white and it looked mank on my lovely black and pink bike. It's all gotta match you know!!

Tell me more about this please? I've had chain cleaning gadgets before and they were crap. I'm using a sponge thingymajig I got on SwimRunCycle at the minute but it's not great.

Not used it yet but plenty video on YouTube showing it in action, looks good and reviews were very postive.
