    Temp dropped to -3C last night (lowest of 2014); ice on puddles and frost persisted in shade all day despite a high of 6.5C (at 2.40pm) in clear calm sunshine.

    Back down to 1.9C now at 4.30pm; clear sky, no wind.

    Big jump in temperature today here near Tralee getting up to 9.3C and 8.2C atm / low of just 1.8C ( still some ice in the ponds where there is shade )

    After a calm morning the wind has been picking up since early afternoon, 10 min avg 14 kph S, gust 33.8 kph

    Cloudier now too after pleasant milky sunshine for much of the day.

    All surfaces white again this morning lovely winter sun again. Temperature dropped below freezing again after dark last night, but since midnight , low was 0.9. Wish this weather would last.

    6.5C, clear, sunny, light breeze and the ground still white on the footpaths and car park surfaces out of direct sunlight!

    Lowest last night just zero at dawn, though it had been windy and +5C for a short while near midnight.

    Amazing how the hoar frost on the ground survived all that...

    No where near any frost here on the North Kerry coast, low of just 4.9C. Got up to 10.3C and just back to 9.9C now.

    Getting increasingly windy and cloudy as the day goes on . 10 min avg 14 kph S , gust 37 kph ( some nice Lenticular clouds earlier when the wind was steady. )
