Overcast on the North Kerry coast for much of the day with a couple of light passing showers leading to some clearer spells with low dazzling sunshine getting through in the mid afternoon after which caught a couple of more showers, got up to 9.7C and down now to 4.3C.

Gave up trying with station's failures. Even on new batteries gives extremely strange (like 1900mm+ rain yesterday) or no readings (especially for wind speed and direction). Station goes offline until I decide to look after it or dump it - so likely until Spring 2015.

Very wet day,drizzle, light rain and heavier pulses of rain producing 7.4mm so far and still raining, mild though getting up to 13.0 C and back now to 10.0C. Be glad to see the back of this sort of weather.

Westerly wind gone light atm but quite blustery earlier from the SW gusting to 56 kph.
