Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tá mé ag dul go dtí pósta mo chara inniú. Bheidh sé ag bainise (getting married to?) cailín as chlann gealgeoiri agus ba mhaith liom scriobh an carta pósta daoibh as gaeligle. Ach tá fadhb agam, níl fhios agam conas a duirt chúpla focail deas sna carta....

    "comhghairdeas ar an lá mhór"??

an bhfuil aon chúpla focail tradisiunta a scriobh ar pósta?

Ní raibh mo ghaeilge go maith ach ba maith liom scriobh rud deas.

    go raibh maith agaibh.

A chara, litrítear an focal mar seo: Gaeilge. Hi, Irish is spelled "Gaeilge" You have mangled versions of it in your title and thread.

A chara, you missed a full stop after "Gaeilge".

Thanks, I suppose? I'm sorry if you feel I was being pedantic, but I think it's an important word to be able to spell, considering you're asking questions about it. You also had "gaelgeoirí" miss-spelled.

It wasn't a malicious correction, I was offering genuine help. :)

haha ok...yea I take your point! Thanks. As you can tell I am not a fluent speaker (but would love to be), thanks for the help. the wedding was last night. Feeling very tired in work this morning.

I kept it simple on the card...

"Comhghairdeachas ar do lá mór. Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh."

(hope i got the spelling right...its a tricky one to spell)

I would have put "bhur" instead of "do" as you are talking to a couple. You used libh for that reason.

    Ah well, bit late now!!!
