Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wind is a huge factor here despite it looking poor misses

Two bad calls by the ref there. Mannion fouled coming out with the ball and David Burke charging. You can't miss the obvious ones.

Galway have nice interplay but wind playing havoc.

    Wexford can't win a puckout

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,243 ✭✭✭C__MC

Is it necessary for Marty to mention the Atlantic wind on every puck out ?
If wexford keep it to five at half time they'll be happy

Good few passes missing the target as well, basic enough stuff going wrong for them.

It's dour enough stuff, you can see why RTE are all over the munster championship.

Wexford better team bar the wides. Using the ball much better than Galway

I don't know what it is but it's always missing in Leinster games.

Few things contribute I think. There isn't the same tradition with Galway in Leinster. There isn't the same history between Galway and Wexford as the over 100 years of history between Cork and Tipp say.

We've only been in the Leinster championship for the last 10 years. Only have had home games in Pearse for the last few years. Plus hurling is primarily in the South and East of the county so getting to the west of the city is sometimes more hassle than it's worth. Still been a very poor first half.

Doubt it. Kk were hardly pulling up trees against Dublin especially in the first half.

He might be the most overrated player in the game.

I'd doubt it given its knocking on the door of 3 years since his Kilkenny team graced Croke Park at the business end of the Championship.

Pearse Stadium itself is a disaster. The wind is bad at the best of times and days like today is a total game killer.

Also no one likes going as town traffic is a dose.

Wexford have every chance here if they can improve their accuracy

Galway there for the taking but wexford don't seem have the forwards to win it.

Ref making a bollox out of this game

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,704 ✭✭✭citykat

Strange decision taking off Wexfords tallest back and a good long distance free taker

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,266 ✭✭✭big_drive

Davy is brain dead. Lick the arse off officials and you might get something but he abuses the head off them. They’re sick of him at this stage.
At end of day Wexford are limited as hell but Davy will trot out the usual “they seemed to get frees easier than us “ line

Galway a pale shadow of 2017
Wexford average enough as are kilkenny

some shocking missed frees in this game

Whoever loses this will be kicking themselves

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

In the first half marty was constantly preaching how tough it was for Wexford due to the wind but he has barely mentioned it in the second half and is wondering why Galway are finding it so hard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,269 ✭✭✭threeball

Chin has horrible free taking technique. He crosses his legs when stepping forward which throws his body shape way out. How no one has pulled him aside and worked with him on it is ridiculous

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,243 ✭✭✭C__MC

Galway should play there home games in thurles.
Playing hurling in a wind like that is crazy

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,704 ✭✭✭citykat

    What a tackle from jacko

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Those pucks from the keeper are a complete waste. Just drop it in short or work something into a better position.
