I assume its an insurance thing for not cancelling/postponing themselves? Iron Maiden havent postponed or cancelled shows themselves, just make an announcement every time a country band large gatherings that gig isnt on anymore. Weird why they dont just announce that the rest are off too

If tickets are still valid for whenever it's rescheduled, I wouldn't be looking for a refund.

Ive already requested a refund.

Wife due our 2nd in August. If the next date suits I will buy again.

Main reason for a refund is last few gigs in Boucher I have seen tickets on sale the day before for a quarter of the price on ticketmaster.

The one good thing about this is that it gives a chance of the gig being moved to Dublin. I don't follow soccer but how often are the Euros on and have they also been rescheduled?

How is that a good thing? Dublin is spoiled for gigs. It's good that Belfast gets a shout every now and again.

And what about the other 2 thirds of the island? There was a lot of people disagreeing with the fact that it was in Belfast when it was first announced.

Perfectly happy to go Belfast myself but know three friends who are fans that weren't going to go because of the inconvenience.

From where? Dublin isn't very convenient for people from the north west or south west. It doesn't stop me going to gigs in Dublin for bands that I really like.

It’s a direct bus, it’s just as easy to get to Belfast.

We could say laziness... Bit tickets were £100. Then travel & board and potentially two days off work.

That's a tall ask for a casual fan.

I'd presume that one would be more than just a casual fan to endure all that for a band.
Also, if you live in the capital, you are presumably used to having these things on your doorstep and that would make a small trip up the road seem bigger than at is.

That’s every gig for a lot of us
Direct bus every hour from Dublin to Belfast, Cheaper hotels and drink

As someone who travels from limerick, Belfast usually works out a cheaper experience for a night.

Hope this is rescheduled; same venue ideally

Agree about people from Dublin being used to having it on the doorstep.

Rammstein in Dublin would have been much handier for most of the country ahead of Belfast I'd imagine. Was going myself because I haven't seen Rammstein Live yet and was looking for an excuse for a trip to Belfast. Was looking at 8 hours round trip and two days off work. Wouldn't have too much sympathy for people that can probably leave work an hour early and be up in plenty of time for the concert and could easily spin home after if they want.

RDS would have been ideal.

Might try get over to the UK or Europe now in they don't reschedule Belfast.

Tbh all accommodation will be more expensive for the next year or two due to this whole pandemic. Yea it being saturday def makes it more appealing for me to grab a ticket

On the flipside of that, if they price themselves too expensive people wont stay there (I know that could apply pre-Covid, but people will be a bit more wary about money)

I saw recently they have postponed the American tour. I highly doubt Belfast will go ahead this year either.

Ya probably not going ahead. Right now it actually wouldn't bother me as long as it's rescheduled for next year. If it's off completely I'll be gutted.

There isn't a hope it'll go ahead this summer. There might be some hope for the genteel "concerts in the park" events, but there's no way 80,000 sweating, roaring metal fans packing into a venue will be anything other than a COVID petri dish

Yeah it doesn't seem very likely at all for this summer as it stands, I just hope it isn't postponed another full year though but it's probably likely!

I was at the 2012 one and i'd say the three arena said no to them coming back after all the pyro. It was a crazy amount for an indoor venue, and you know our H&S regulations..

I doubt it. It's a stadium tour because of the size of the stage and the pyro towers in the middle of the crowd so needs to be outdoor.

Belfast cancelled but all other gigs rescheduled to 2022. Fvck me.

I personally would love to see them play in the Aviva or the RDS. Preferably the Aviva because of the shape of it.

Due to the expected ongoing event-bans and restrictions related to COVID-19, Rammstein are unfortunately forced to postpone the planned European Stadium Tour again.
The band and everyone involved are very disappointed about this.
Given the lack of planning reliability for holding events of this size, this step is unavoidable.

The concerts are rescheduled to 2022.

Unfortunately, some minor changes had to be made and the show in Belfast will be canceled entirely.
Tickets for Belfast will be refunded, all other tickets remain valid!

The band is using the time off to continue working on new songs.
We look forward to seeing you in 2022!

Its a mix of Brexit and ticket sales I would imagine. The extra checks on goods coming from the UK to NI, as we all know, is quite onerous. I imagine it just wasn't worth it at all for the one gig, and an undersold one at that.
