Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know but in these mad times it can make a big difference.

Take an 1998 R1 for example.
The red and white ones are fetching double what the blue ones are.
    Ridiculous really.

The blue 98 R1 is my favourite sportsbike.

 indeed, I always thought the red and white ones looked gash!

Urban Tiger Foxeye Blade ftw :)

    Scrap the cap!

Urban Tiger Foxeye Blade ftw :)

A mate bought a brand new one when they came out (1995 I think).
Arai bought out a helmet to match which he also had to have of course!:pac:

Actually I think another mate still has that blade.
    2 owner bike so.

Remember Bonnie's (owner of the Gypsy), he'd the PD. It was in bits, gave it a cruel life but was scourged with offers to buy it from domestic, the UK and as far as Germany.

He's have sold it for €5500 all day, but wouldn't part with it.

I'd rather have a big bang model and a few grand to spend on another bike.

That's nuts. A genuine and rare classic like an RC30 would be worth that sort of money, a mass produced Yam? No.

If I could get an RC30 for that money I'd have one in the shed right now.
Theres a few for sale at the moment for over 30k and there is one for 45k.
    Nuts alright.

I agree, they're stunners. I love them myself but you'd have to get me on a really good day to go over €3500 for one and certainly nothing like that guy is asking.

But then he'll probably get it too.

    3k for an 18 year old diversion.wow
    https://www.donedeal.ie/motorbikes-for-sale/yamaha-xj900-diversion/20790791

And this probably shouldn't be here as it will make that kind of money but I couldn't spend that much on one myself and especially not that colour scheme.

    For comparison https://www.donedeal.ie/motorbikes?sort=price%20desc&price_to=3000&engine_to=1000&engine_from=600&year_from=2005

There is a cbf100, BMW F800s and a good few other bikes that are the same price but 4 years younger. God loves a trier

A myth. They couldn't sell them when they came out, the SP1 was massively discounted to get things moving and the Sp2 basically sat there with nobody buying it at all (bar a few early ones) until it finally died out.

Now it has achieved mythical status and the UK dealers are cleaning up on it. At least it only affects people that want to pay too much money for old bikes (a bit like antique dealing and art). :pac:

If he wants that kind of money for it,I hope he,at the very least has all the original parts for it.

Worth about 2000 and that's it
A 929 all original would go for about 2500 to 3000 max and that one was butchered
I sold a mint one last year and nowadays the market for litre sports bikes is at an all time low due to high insurance quotes

You've more money than sense if you think that thing is worth 2k.

IMO €1000-€1200 max, but only if I was really stuck for a bike.

I love the description. Very tidy, really?

I'd find it hard believe that someone would do that to a blade unless it's been smashed.

"Very tidy example of a 2000 reg 929 fireblade street racer power commander lovely clean bike a lot off money spent on this bike"

But nearly always :P, no problem with a modder, they'll nearly always have the original kit to go with the bike should a new owner want to change back (been there), if the kit's not there then view with maximum suspicion - from bent/cracked frames and on down.

True that, but sometimes the old parts fund the new parts...;)

Out of interest Max, how much would you say that bike is worth?
Here's one for cheaper in absolutely mint condition with 12000 miles on the clock.
I was looking at it just now and had a good look at it. Every nut and bolt everywhere still like new.
    Hasn't been painted, hasn't needed engine work and hasn't a broken/cut front mudguard :)

Now this is a nice bike

Edit: forgot to mention it's 2002.
