Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What is cost of delivery like from them?

Add them to your basket and you'll see. Those Ultegra 6700 pedals are half price. Don't need them but I want to buy them.

My mother picked me up a copy of Nico Roche's book in dealz Blanchardstown today for €1,49 said there were a few more copies too, if it qualifies for this thread

Ok a slightly weird one as I can't post what the price will be, but possible bargain alert for later on via the amazon.co.uk Black Friday lightening deals. Some of the below might be nice Christmas presents!

    19:00 slot includes:
GPS - Edge 800, Europe. Seems to be unit alone with base maps. Current Amazon price is £ 231 delivered.
Book - The Pain and the Glory - normally £ 11.08
Book - Tour Climbs (guide to every TdF climb ever) - normally £ 14.74 (hardback)
Book - Mapping Le Tour - 100 routes etc. Normally £ 16.25 (hardback)
There's also a L/S cycle jersey in that time slot.

Picked up the mapping book for around a tenner. The Edge 800 units were £ 149 and gone instantly!

Not very much here but Aldi have a couple of bits of cycling clothing in their special buys next Thursday the 21st.

    https://www.aldi.ie/en/specialbuys/thursday-21st-november/

Although I'd like to point out that I was in Sportsworld (Heatons) Carrickmines yesterday (I assume all other Sportsworlds are doing it) and they had lots of Karrimor gear at great prices. Off top of my head All Jerseys (incl. Hi-Viz) were €18, Jackets at €24, padded cycling pants at €18, overshorts €12 and other deals.

Hope this info might be useful to some here. New daily commuters like myself.

The older cycling gear in Aldi (Usually hanging on racks) Winter cycling jackets and winter cycling tops are showing 18.99 and 12.99 but are actually now 12.99 and 6.99 (or close to that)

For daily commuting they are fairly good for those prices. You'd be pushed to get a T-shirt in pennys for those prices. The winter jacket is ideal for me as I was starting to wear a hoodie under my rain jacket. :o Pleanty of stock in the Belgard Road, Dublin branch.

The manger also told me tonight that the running gear they have is being reduced as of tomorrow.

    Hello,

How do you find the sizing?

I'm 5' 7/8 and a 32/33 waist. Would Medium be OK? I can't wrap my head around their size charts :/

Looks like it dropped to £150. I was out, so I missed it. I know last year a few deals resurfaced, so hopefully this comes around again.

This might have been a better place to ask rather than the "off topic" thread. Am going to Decathlon in a few days. Any "must buys" anyone would recommend. have had bib tights and "silk" gloves recommended so far.

Their own brand tubes are cheap and I have always found them to be pretty good quality.

TK Maxx in Stephen's Green have a large range of Polaris winter gear - winter jerseys & decent breathable water proofs. I picked up a very nice windproof jersey (Polaris Tornado), made from their own windproof fabric for €46.99. Very impressed with fit and performance so far. There are also some Craft summer jerseys for as little as €9.00, if anyone's stocking up for the summer!

i got on the waitlist, then got offered one. let it go though as one of the multisport ones would suit me better, will pick up the 310xt or the 910xt.

better to let it roll down to someone who really wants it

I managed to order it. Now that I think about it though, it's another £70 for the HRM and cadence, so it's not really a saving :( I should've picked up the bundle in May for £150.

i'd imagine so. impulse clicking. i was torn between getting one of these and a garmin swim, or one of the multisport watches. the deal tempted me to go with the 500, but when i went to the final screen to click confirm offer i changed my mind, the multisport watches allow transition programming which will work better for me.

have a 410 to keep me going till i pick something up anyway. best of luck with it

I had it in the basket, but after checking email discovered that the 800 unit was dispatched, £149 that was. Bikeinn.com have the 500 Red premium with HRM/cadence on their site for €188.

Sorry, page wasn't refreshed and was showing a saving of 33% at €188 from last week.

it is a fair saving, the 500 at €112.27 today then the premium hrm and GSC10 at amazon prices for €86.42 only comes to €198.69, Cheapest I've seen the premium kit for is €215 and thats on Adverts.
