Brent crude gone up another 10% today after yesterday's 20% increase. For those sitting on the fence, time to pull the trigger I think

Is it predicted that prices will drop or rise into next week. I need to get Gas oil and the price per litre is quite a bit more than kerosene.

I'd be buying now. It's unlikely to get cheaper.

Gas oil is a bit more expensive than kero, so I would say anything around 50c/l is good.

You might save a couple of cent waiting, but I wouldn't be too sure. Oil prices rose again today and are now 40% higher for the week.

There are tankers of oil on the sea with no destination. Billions of gallons with no place for it to go. Plenty of time for the price to still drop

China has decided to fill up its reserves. Saudi and Russia have agreed to cut production

Bought gas oil at 49c/L. See my follow-up comment.
    I'm content at that price.

Corrib Galway is 510. Corrib Tralee is 540. I got it knocked down to 525 plus a fiver in points.

Can't understand how the same company can be different!!

That makes no difference unless the refineries own it.
    The refineries pay spot price.

And it's certainly not "billions" of gallons, but certainly 2-300 million.

Oil storage rates have doubled and are now about $4/1,000litres/month.

Everything costs money and it's the end user that pays.

No different to buying fuel for your car really.

I paid 450 from Corrib Loughrea two days ago. That being said I am a regular customer so may get extra discount.

I phoned their head office in Galway , got a price and then we both realised I needed to talk to my local office.

Still 525 was good. Best in the area is 538. I paid 680 last winter.

No they didn't say, I haggled for that price though, no harm giving it a shot with every place atm. Prices on the phone seem to be much better than online prices.

Reading this thread, am I right to say that different people ringing the same companies, for same area, are getting quoted different prices?

I got 500l for €260 off Sweeney. She swore she couldn't do any better

Getting quoted €221 for 500l and €453 for 1000l Kero here in Kildare so cheaper to buy 500L loads for some reason? (44c/l V 45c/l)

Gas oil more expensive at around €640 for 1000l.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

After seeing the post you replied to, I looked at top oil website and searched for price on 500L, I entered code spring20 & it knocked a tenner off, so the price totalled 270 euro for said litres.

Does anyone know a company in Dublin that will deliver if the hose has to go through the house? I’ve used Texoil for years but they won’t deliver at the moment if the driver has to enter the house. They were very apologetic and I completely understand, but I need some oil!

O'Neills oil should. Delivered to me two weeks ago no issue. Just all doors open for the driver when he arrived.

I always let the tank go near empty and get it filled. You just either pay the drive or ring them in with card details if driver has not got a card machine

2000 litres for €860 this morning slightly beats it on a per litre basis.
Filled up our main tank and a second one that we haven't used for a few years as I also think prices may be near the lows. Paid €375 for 500l in January!
