Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where have you seen this? Obviously we all knew the news was coming but just want to send the info to my gig buddies.

Got an email about the Paris show, it’s in French bit that’s the translated bit above

Norwegian promoters issued the same thing for the green day only shows

And the hellamega website is updated the pre UK shows to postponed

But as the above has UK in it, or seems theyre just waiting for uK promoters.

Tour is being moved to next year

I got an email from Ticketmaster a few minutes ago saying that the event is being rescheduled. :)

    Better than noting I suppose

Hopefully it's not the same day as one of the euro 2020/2021 games but don't think they would be that dumb to do that

I think you can rest assured that the Euros will be the first thing Green Day et al consider when they start looking at new dates for next year.

Great to see it's being rescheduled rather than canceled! :)

Yeah definitely, was thinking a multi-band tour would have been tougher to move just on a year with so many extra variables in play.

I'm guessing there were a lot or r€a$on$ to do it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,892 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Reckon it will be almost identical dates for 2021

Prob the week starting 28th June 2021 etc

You will have plenty of notice dont worry ha

My tickets were refunded today (along with the service charge, which was good) without any prior warning from ticketmaster. My TM account still says that the event has been postponed with a date TBA soon, but when I click into the event it says that my tickets have been cancelled. Doesn't look too promising for rescheduling.

Just checked my account and it still says new date TBA
AS far as I can see my tickets are still valid and no refund appeared

Still says postponed and new date to be announced soon for a group on my end too..

    That's very strange

My account still says TBA and no refund processed either

Hmmmm, that's unusual. Only thing I can think it might be is that I also have Elbow tickets which was originally rescheduled to 29th June, so I contacted TM to cancel my Elbow tickets because of the clash. TM never refunded those and Elbow was then rescheduled again to October, so perhaps TM accidentally cancelled my Green Day tickets.

    Yep that's a strange one.

Did you have seating tickets? Could possibly had to change venue i.e Malahide or something for 2021 and they've gone and cancelled seating tickets.

Interesting how they haven’t said RDS for the new date..
    Just ‘Dublin’

MCDs website has the same just ‘Dublin’

Venue TBA on the hella mega website

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,078 ✭✭✭PCros

Funnily enough a few posts up I mentioned that the venue could be changed...possibility now...

Edit: Just checked my TM account and it has RDS.

    ya ticketmaster still have RDS

green day, MCD and HellaMega all have venue TBA

seems the RDS is a possibility and ticketmaster have just reactivated the previous listing

gonna be very messy if moved, especially as the RDS is clearly not confirmed as available

Would need to be a venue with seating and a gold circle capability,.. you're talking croker or fake seating in Phoenix Park then

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,078 ✭✭✭PCros

Its really only Marley or Malahide if there is a change?

Croker or Phoenix Park too large?

What about the people who have bought seated tickets?

    That’s my thought also

Outside the RDS, unless they move it to the 3arena, which would mess with the standing capacity

Offered standing or full refund I guess.

If there is a venue change for the sake of size and distancing then the Aviva would be an obvious choice.

The RDS can be very tight for space especially for a sold out gig. Was there for Fleetwood Mac, was only one main entrance out to the pitch seating area and it was a complete bottleneck at times. Not my most favorite venue, Id always take a field over a stadium anyway.

We don't really know what kind of new laws may be in place for mass gatherings in the future so it might make sense to have a bigger area to play around with.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,892 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

The Avvia is occupied with Euro 2020/21 next summer

Maybe it's been moved from the RDS for that reason as it would be a nightmare to control (full concert in the RDS and Full match in the Aviva the same day)

Dont mind where it's on tbh

We’d have had the same issue this year though.

Could be RDS redevelopment finally this year

This year the Aviva match was the day after Hella Mega. I remember been at Billy Joel in Aviva in 2018 and Picture This played the RDS the same time. Picture This finished later but it was mega busy (pardon the pun :D) around Ballsbridge

yeah the redevelopment might be happening next year to. Badly needed that Anglesea stand is a bit of a **** hole that needs knocking, way past its sell by date. The July horse show is more important to the RDS folk so maybe they want to have it done by then. Who knws really ?

No way they can move it to the 3Arena as the gig was pretty much sold out in the RDS. I hope they dont move it too Croke Park as the stadium will be over half empty sadly.

Its a weird one, although it might make sense since the 21 pilots show was cancelled in the RDS instead of rescheduled (although maybe it was selling poorly)

Good shout on that - plus Twenty One Pilots was pretty much sold out so there must be something blocking out June 2021 gigs. I believe the Dublin gig was their only headline show and the rest were euro festivals.

I do hope it stays away from stadiums too.

I suppose twenty one pilots could come back for maybe 2 3Arena shows during the summer.

I dont understand why they wouldnt wait to announce the dublin date with the venue confirmed

Reply to the email asking for your ticket to be reopened. Refund should be organised soon enough after in my experience.

How soon do we have to apply for refund ?
Next summer is a long way away
I don’t know what we will be at !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,892 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

I dont mind Croke Park as a venue, sure it wasant full for the Rolling Stones but it was still a good atmosphere. Add in the selection of pubs/bars on the way and it will be a great day

    Other options
    Marley Park
    Malahide Castle
    Punchestown
    RHK
    Phoenix Park
    Slane Castle
