Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I hate to be negative but I think Siver will actually finish BJ.

Mind you, I said last night Chael was washed-up and he proved me wrong. So I'm probably helping your bet :D

I'd love to see BJ win, always one of my favourites, but a shadow of what he once was. Only 38 though which surprised me, seems to have been around forever.

I think BJ will finish Siver in round 2 - KO!

If BJ was fighting someone decent I'd be worried but its Dennis SIver, most of BJS losses were to real good opponents.

Bruce really is a legend of an MC, his intro for BJ there was class.

Hoping for a spinning back kick as always

    Siver 10-9.

Also BJ has his shorts on inside out.

Think Dennis shaded that, knocking out a gumshield will stick in the judges' mind.

Rubbish from BJ, sad to see.

Thought the first round wend to Siver, but there wasn't much in it.
Surprised Penn's corner asking for the takedown though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

BJ's just throwing single shots, his standup used to be so much better, the fight is ebbing away from him here.

Ha - typing this when he knocked him down....posting anyway!

    Nice one BJ. 1:1.

Damnit Wifi went from 4:40 to 2:40 in rd 3, in that time BJ is completely gassed and not even defending himself :(

Wifi went in the last minute, did BJ get KO'd?

    Sad stuff from bj

Hope bj calls it a day.

Need a hometown rd 1 in BJ's favour to win this.

Now that I think of it.. didn't Penn's trainer say after the Rodriguez fight that he didn't think he should fight again? That might explain his apparent pessimism in the corner, and that fight definitely confirms that Penn should've taken his advice...

29-28 Siver easy fight to score. Would have been 30-27 other than that uppercut.

If Dana White has any integrity whatsoever he will not let that man fight again in the UFC.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

considering it was all to play for going into the third, a very disappointing show from BJ there. Even when he got top position in rd2 he didn't try to do anything with it really, and that was his best chance to win. Strange. Hope he cals it a day now.

BJ is a legend but he shouldn't be in the Octagon anymore.

He has nothing left to prove

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 7,269 ✭✭✭Gamebred

Not as if he needs the money hes loaded, was never about cash for him just loves a fight needs to be saved from himself..

Can an athletic commission refuse to sanction a fighter.?

Dana and integrity - if max gets his wish bj would be on the hawaii card. How many fights has he left

Was there not a rumour that his property ventures went arseways and he's broke?

I was told he's in financial trouble behind the scenes but that might be hearsay.

He didn't throw a single punch in the last 2 minutes. To not even throw one punch is nuts.

Do a Hawaii card. Holloway v Edgar, feed Penn an absolute can he can beat and then retire in Hawaii.

He just got beat by a can

Siver at least has some wins under his belt throughout his career. Hes basically the German Cathal Pendred. They can find someone weaker for BJ's last fight surely.

Personally, he shouldn't fight again. He's clearly finished.

I get the sentimemt but Siver was much better than a Pendred, the guy actually has a bit of skill and showed improvement over his carrier

    Feed him CM Punk!!

Honestly the UFC allow him to fight again, CM Punk is about the only fair opponent for BJ. I can't think of anyone on the entire roster he could beat.

Have they cut Chris Avila yet?

The T-Rex would stop him. I know he's a bit of a punch line but he went 5 rounds with Cub. BJ would gas and the russian hammer would knock him out. If he can't hang with Siver, Artem would kill him.

Garcia losing this fight. Means' height and range is just killing him. Garcia looks so one dimensional. A bit disappointed in a Firas fighter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,563 ✭✭✭The White Feather

They could do 10 more rounds and I'd say neither would get the finish

Why does BT Sport have warnings at 3 in the morning? Really silly

In all seriousness, how the fudge does a fighter end up without their gumshield in the Octagon?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

Herrig being a betting underdog here is so weird to me.
