Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've looked at some things and when I've gone into to add to basket the lower price hasn't been there. Don't forget these are open box/returns so there could be only 1 or 2 of an item and by the time you go to purchase, that one is gone and you're seeing the full price item or one which is not reduced.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,800 ✭✭✭ablelocks

not in this instance, i have a current used, very good laptop in my basket and no discount, even though it is in the offers search results.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,102 ✭✭✭The Continental Op

What I have found is that Amazon take the extra 30% off in the search results so the item prices are 30% more when you go to the listing. So if you don't see the discount knocked off already when you search then there is not 30% discount.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Bought warehouse AirPods from amazon France and discount applied. No discount on uk site, very messy. Thought it was on everything last year

so I escalated my chat to a manager, went around in circles for a while where basically they posted links that proved my point, and lo and behold, when i went back to the product page to get a screen shot the discount was available!

I'm now the proud owner of a HP gaming laptop that i didn't know i wanted and don't really need.

this is what happens when you try to prove a point.

i've to do a bit of research, but i think it may be too good a deal to send it back - used price was £720, so with the discount was £504. For a hp gaming laptop, that seems great value.

One of the few advantages of buying from Amazon Warehouse is free returns for any reason.

With an item like you laptop I would ensure that you are getting exactly what you paid for. It wouldn't be that unusual for components to be swapped out and returned, so straight away I'd check the memory and hard drive is what it should be.

At a much lower level of product I bought a set of sockets from Amazon Warehouse where all the brand names ones had been replaced with cheap Chinese substitutes.

Just wondering, did you have to actually press Buy Now for the 30% to be applied [I'm looking at an ASUS TUF laptop ("Used - Acceptable")]?

not sure if you're still looking, but this ASUS TUF is eligible for the discount - used very good

Is it a free return though? Do Amazon actually pay postage?

Yes....You print off a label which states free postage and bring to post office....they scan and give you receipt.

nearly everything i've got in the last week has been from the warehouse. I don't think they've ever offered a 30% discount before....?

I’ve been getting 30% warehouse deals almost every day, lots of DIY stuff, brushes, rollers, paint tray inserts etc, car cleaning gear, all the sort of stuff where I don’t care about the packaging

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 19,192 Mod ✭✭✭✭slave1

LOL, just looked at my account, 18 30% off orders gone in

Is there a certain time of day that stock tends to get added to the warehouse or is it luck of the draw?

Luck of the draw, I though logging on at midnight would mean changes but quickly realised not to be. Just seem to add stuff randomly throughout the day so unless someone knows differently it's the luck of the draw!

Also items reduce over time so they're added close to retail price, depending on condition obviously, and will slowly decrease the longer they go unbought.

    Oh really?
Was looking at something but by the time I checked the reviews on it it was gone - was a good price with the reduction but still ended up getting 23% off for Cyber Monday for it brand new (considering what it was probably the best route)

Picked up a Netgear Orbi WiFi 6 Mesh 2 pack on the German warehouse for €470 delivered of which €16 was postage. Best price in the normal site was €686 on .de and £699 on .co.uk website. Very happy with that

Prices are high before the 30%, nothing like previous sales

Can you search for a specific item in the Warehouse Department ?

I can only see options to search by category which is time consuming.

If I search from the search tab on the main site page will it bring up warehouse products as well?

If u bring up the new item doesn't it show the used ones underneath?

When you click on more buying options it will say on the used one "sold by Amazon warehouse"

I've noticed that the warehouse deals don't show up on some products.

There is an open box Oral B 2500 toothbrush deal in the warehouse which doesn't show up under open box like new when searching the product.

It will show up here if you search for it. However, it will only show up from searching on this different page if it's eligible for the 30% off.

Has anyone had any issues with items from this not being dispatched? I've 2 items shown as pending, one since 23nov. No money has been taken from my account for either item (card details are saved and lots of other orders placed before during and after these too). They are large items and I was surprised they shipped to Ireland so hoping it's not the case that there was a mistake and they're cancelled on me.

    I'm in the same boat

1 item Ordered 20th November. I have rang them twice and just get the standard "your order is being processed"

from later this week and into next week keep an eye on warehouse as impulse and buyer remorse items get returned to amazon - even without the 30% warehouse prices can see decent reductions...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 479 ✭✭Enrico Palazzo

Has amazon uk removed free returns for warehouse items or have I mixed something up here? Nothing about free returns in T&C anymore. Practically, you can still return for free, but you need to claim a fault or incorrect description, where the latter might cover for a lot cases of disappointment with the item. I believe it used to be free return within 30 days for a full refund, no questions asked.

no free refunds for anything except faulty or other issues. change of mind incurs a fee of £9.00 now.

im quite unhappy with this as the value of the item would not make it worth that. it applies to amazon prime customers as well for new stuff as well as warehouse stuff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 479 ✭✭Enrico Palazzo

Yeah, that, combined with way smaller discounts than in the past makes the warehouse sales mostly unattractive now. Say a computer monitor "like new' in a damaged box, a few pounds cheaper than new and that at a price of hundreds of pounds - would have to be desperate to bite on that. No manufacturer warranty, only 30 days cover by Amazon, the box might be in tatters with the monitor inside possibly damaged in transit or perhaps was returned by a customer because of of minor but annoying display faults. Recently, I have only been buying warehouse items when I needed them specifically and they were unavailable new, else it's a waste of time and a sign of things to come as Amazon gets more and more confident with their market share and stock value and doesn't need to play super nice anymore.

Statutory rights still give you 14 days to change your mind regardless of the Amazon terms
