Coming off Watching the Queens Gambit to this and Christ it’s tough going. Great cast but it ain’t great.

This is poor. Probably has enough to keep me watching as it's only six episodes but it's a mess and classic case of nothing happening for an hour and then a silly twist at the end which is quickly dismissed in the next episode.

Episode 4 was pretty bad apart from when Donald Sutherland ripped the principal a new one which was brilliant.

The TV interview was very silly and didn't make any sense.

Also, I think the blonde friend killed her

A lot of it isn't making sense, tbh.

Most annoying of all for me is that one minute she/they're being mobbed by media, next she's strolling around Central Park and the streets of New York entirely alone. Like, it's New York - my disbelief has snapped at this stage from all the suspending.

It seems to be settling into a pattern of lining up a new suspect/motive in the last 5 minutes of each episode. I expect the pal will be next week's feature.

The father and the principal scene was brilliant!

Agreed with everything said above. Silly situations like the interview and the visit to the husband.

It could all come somewhat together when the big truth is unveiled but it's dragging badly the past two episodes.

The dialogue in EP 4 was dreadful. Even Donald Sutherland's rant at the principal. Just awful use of language and not even reflective of his intent.

His scene with his Grace where he had to background explain he never liked Jonathan was as equally awful as the one between both Grace and Jonathan while strolling around NY.

As for Jonathon knocking on the door and being invited to feed his daughter by Fernando :rolleyes:

Such a good start and strong premise, but fell off the cliff last night.

Roadkill on BBC was ok, stretched the credulity a bit but no better or worse than The Undoing as it turns out! Hugh Laurie is great, as usual.

saw that coming from early on in that episode

in fairness they dropped various hints

bit about son seeing Hugh Grant and the dead woman at school etc - was almost as if he was going to spit out that he killed her

bit in the restaurant son saying basically now that this woman is out of the way / affair over that they can survive as a family

conversation with Hugh Grant's mother "Henry must be a grown man at this stage"

thing is (assuming this isn't some bs red herring which would be pathetic) - does Hugh Grant know also?

this show is utter shyte at this point imo but if there is only one episode left I guess that I'll see it out I suppose

The Father could have it there when he went into the sons room on the night of the murder. " I love you son but I'm gonna f××k you over here". Thankfully its only 6 episodes, the acting has been fairly sh!te tbh. Its poor in contrast to previous HBO shows.

The court case was beyond nonsense. Going to the restaurant was nonsense. The blonde lawyer one waving at the prosecution was nonsense

The whole thing is nonsensical.

I still think the blonde one played a part in some shape or other

Also, why is Jonathan a sociopath? His sister died in an accident, it's not like he actually killed her and his family forced him to suppress it which is why he never spoke about it.

Of course he still could be with some twist in the next episode

I still think Kidman has missing scenes in her walks, killed the woman and hid the hammer in the violin case without knowing.

Sociopaths don't have to be violent but don't feel emotion and can't empathise with others, only sometimes pretend to.

We haven't seen Grace and Elena engaged in anything other than Elena acting rather provocative and strange towards her. Each time Grace looked uncomfortable and taken aback. From her expression it seemed that such interactions came of nowhere and were isolated incidences.

I really don't know about the portrait. Could it have been from memory? She was staring at Grace during the party so perhaps that's something she's been doing to help her memorise features and study her.

I don't think Grace killed her and I don't think Jonathan killed her. In saying that its the kind of show I think that will have a ridiculous ending and it may well turn out to be Jonathan .

Not at all. You obviously have never been to a court case. That does happen in court cases including going out for lunch or dinner but here the Jurry have theres paid for and the accused and there family have to pay for there own.

It's almost becoming a black comedy at this stage.

Hugh crying for Katie kitten had me giggling.

The husband's acting and his one facial moment.

Henry's eyes at the end. Just needed him to jump out of the bed and go full Omen on Nicole.

Please tell me there's only one episode left?!

Dire.

Oh and the big twist? She's not dead. They kept saying how unidentifiable she was. The husband ID'd her. You can be sure Donald is heavily involved. Tried to set up his son in law with the help of Elena and her family.

Very difficult to know who to care about in this show. Not that every show needs to have likeable or sympathetic characters, but if they're going to be unlikeable, they at least have to have something about them that is in some way compelling. Nobody in this show is remotely interesting.
