I see PP are offering cash back on all outright pre-match bets at
the UK snooker championship, if Selby or O'Sullivan win it.
They are both at opposite ends of the draws and can only meet in the final.

Any resident pro's on snooker here? Not watching as much as i used to.
Im a fan of Allen but the lad doesnt seem to be able to win a
tournament of this size. 20/1 about him on PP.

I see the quarters looking like this if ive read the draw correctly:

    J. Higgins vs R O'S

    Ding vs N. Robertson

    M. Williams vs S. Murphy

    M. Allen vs M. Selby

Anyone any opinions on next best value after Selby and O'Sullivan?

Field Hockey - game starts in 15 minutes - Challenge Cup, Argentina vs Poland (+4.0). Just talked about it with Eurosport Poland commentator of this sport and he said it's very unlikely Argies can win it by 5 or more goals. He even gives Poland outside shot of winning, but of course he can be potentially biased on it. But Poland is probably undervalued here after 0:7 loss to India - they didn't care about this match, as with any result they would be last in their group. Belgium is considered a best team of this tournament and Poland lost 7:3 against them. Low/middle stakes.

Game finished 5:1 for Argentina after they scored their 5th in last minute. Tip voided.

All first score- penalty. No real system to it- just teams most likely to win wil more often to not score games first points- usually with a penalty

    Connacht (v Treviso) @ 6/4
    Leinster (v Cardiff) @ 6/4
    Scarlets (v Ulster) @ 15/8
    Edinburgh (v Aironi) @ 15/8

Tip voided, and as i said to ya, locked in profit late on, you must start doing this, could of saved yourself on India at half time too.

    Thanks for the tip Stinger.

christ almighty i mean terrible luck. two of the teams missed penalties as well. no one forced me too back these selections i backed them cause it seemed fairly probable to happen so if i was going to blame anyone it would have to be myself

my god, not one came in ha. having awful luck with my rugby bets lately.. Niall O'Connor missed very kickable pen for Connacht- which was a SHOCKING game! 2nd try for Treviso was shambolic. Didn't see other games, all i know none came in..
    None out of 4. terrible!!
well i did warn that there was no system mate and they were just bets i put on myself on a hunch. apologies if lost you big stake, i should have mentioned that i was putting small stakes on all of them... In fairness the bets for "First points score" has so many variables that they are no way to guarantee much winners, it is alot of luck.. and my god were we unlucky tonight:D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20 onekillmagill

sorry for the way ive come across pal, i didnt lose massive money myself either. just hard to believe that two teams missed pens to give us some profit. one connacht missed a kick in front of the posts and edinburgh missed another kickable pen which fell short and they scored a try from it. put on scarlets plus 7 in play..sums up my luck atm

    They're almost wrapped up.

Next up is Maguire V Hendry, probably the toughest one to call. Maguire should win.

I'm actually sickened. Was going to throw a fiver on this at 20/1 but I was completely broke. I only had 10 cent left in my william hill a/c so I stuck it on. Stand to win 2 feckin euro :(

He will! fair play to you for spotting the accumulator. The minute I seen your post I knew it would come through. If only I had a fiver to stick on it at the time! right now I could afford to stick 20 on it!

Did the same thing during the summer at wimbledon in the first round. The seeds always play qualifiers and I picked about 20 players that would defo win. Won 35 euro from 2 euro. Next time I think I will maybe up my stakes if it looks a good bet :)

If any of you are having a flutter on the UFC this weekend, I'm going for the following two bets.

    Tito Ortiz by points (4/1)
    Jon Jones by KO/TKO (10/11)

€10 returns €95.45 with Paddy Power

2 Bets for me in the rugby tomorrow
    :cool:Montpelier +7 v Glasgow @10/11
I know French teams don't travel well and Glasgow on a good form, but can see them getting a LBP here so +7 looks about right

    :cool:Clermont -2 @ 10/23
Not sure about -7 Handicap on Clermont, but I do fancy them to win- possibly comfortably, but gonna take -2 Handicap as a To Win bet at 1/4 doesn't have much value.

Gonna wait and see if Isotonic has any thoughts on matches, but will prob miss any he posts today as will I'll be at Connachts game..

EDIT: 2 from 2, not to bad, even though I don't like betting on HCup without Iso's input haha. In the end, Clermont easily broke the -7 handicap wining by 18, but didn't trust myself enough back it. Looking at Exeter v Dragons, Dragons +6 looks tempting, gonna put lil stake on that

    Sat 22/10/11 T1 Racing Métro 92 9 - 16 Toulon (7 point win)
    Sat 26/11/11 T1 Castres Olympique 22 - 22 Toulon (draw)
    Sat 03/12/11 T1 Stade Toulousain 33 - 12 Toulon (21 point loss)
    Sat 31/12/11 T1 Biarritz 25 - 6 Toulon (19 point loss)

    Toulon won 4/7 +8 handicaps- (57.14%)

    past meetings:
    Sat 03/09/11 T1 Toulon 0 - 17 ASM Clermont Auvergne
    Fri 04/03/11 T1 ASM Clermont Auvergne 19 - 12 Toulon
    Fri 01/10/10 T1 Toulon 22 - 15 Castres Olympique
    Sun 03/01/10 T1 ASM Clermont Auvergne 39 - 3 Toulon
    Fri 12/03/10 T1 Toulon 19 - 6 Castres Olympique

    Small stake (5er) on Clermont -8.5 @10/11
The away form of Toulon been poor with 2 heavy defeats in Toulouse and Biarritz- plus Toulon havn't won in Clermont on past 13 visits
Clermont been poor past 2 games away, just got 15 points (all pens) but still managed a draw and win those two games- so their momentum hasn't been disrupted.
They are still top try scorers and could get couple more in the Thomond Park of France- Parc des Sports Marcel Michelin.

just sticking a 5er on cuase don't follow Top 14 to closely

Any ideas for Heineken cup weekend?

Think Ulster -2, Toulouse -26, Leinster -8 and Harlequins -9 will beat the Handicap.

    12.2/1

Toulouse -12 @ HT is looking good- home side have great XV starting and Connacht always start slowly. The -26 Handicap should be reached by Toulouse but I'd like to think that Connacht will be able offer bit of a revival in 2nd half

Ulster -2 tonight is another great looking bet. I managed to get them at a scratch (-0/+0) on Tuesday night, but -2 should be beaten by an inform ulster vs a weakened Leicester team.. I'm all over this bet tonight:pac:

Glasgow are strong at home and in good form- so won't be walk in park for Leinster although they should still win. Harlequins -9 I wouldn't personally go for either, I just think that Gloucester have a good performance in them, like they had in Toulouse. Prefer Saracens -7 vs Biarritz- as Biarritz been woeful this season
    good luck

Had some success in large enough sized accums in first rounds of events. Will be doing one for the masters tomorrow and the australian open on monday.

The masters will be a tough one though as they are all quality players.

    Ding Junhui @ 2.37

Ding v Ronnie, all depends on ronnie, if he turns up he can easily win. Ding is more consistent though.

The other one which is 50/50 is MArk Williams v Stepen Maguire, Maguire is a quality player.

The first 8 have won! Cmon!

The highest odds left of the 6 is @1.40.

The only worries is that 1.40.

I expect the rest to win.
