Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've been using a pair for the last 5 months & find them very good for jogging/walking. Only problem I've seen is that if it's lashing rain the hood of my running jacket can cause lots of phantom touches.

I ordered a pair of these before I saw your post but I am sending them back due to Bluetooth dropouts. When I put my phone in my pocket they drop out then reconnect but end up out of sync with each other.

Ya the touch buttons are idiotic. Even without wet headgear I keep pausing them when I try to make a slight adjustment to the fit.

Good headphones apart from that though.

    VANKYO X400

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/VANKYO-Headphones-Cancelling-Bluetooth-Earphones-Gray/dp/B08FLGHKHB/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=x400+true+wireless&qid=1614614210&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A1BYCOG4KODRDZ&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFUQjZDMkhKVzZSRkUmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA4MjUwOTEyUFoxU1E4NkVQVUVLJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA3NDM1MDUxV0Y0TDZYMFhWQjI3JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

have these more than a few months now so giving a long-term update

phone call quality excellent - probably where these shine most compared to most other true wireless. haven't had 1 complaint about call quality from other party. use both earphones for best case sound. there are two microphones on each earphone. if phone / zoom call quality is something you need that I feel confident in saying that these are a good option for that. have been really disappointed in this aspect of most true wireless options.

initial connection - very good - quick to connect just by taking out of box. odd time I need to just press the touch area to turn on when I take out but that's super quick and obvious for need to do so as would not say "power on" no issues that annoy there overall

connection stability excellent. not 1 drop

battery life - excellent - 5 hours seems accurate. tbh but I don't often use these for really really long periods at a time

comfort in-ear - excellent - you can go jogging/ running with these no problem. very comfortable for long use.

music sound quality - very good - not the bassiest iem's ever but plenty enough bass for me and then on the other hand sound is clear and clean and well separated. volume is high enough for me but not the loudest ever probably but certainly the max is loud enough unless you're big into ear damage.

build quality - excellent. one small thing but converse would be worse is that the box is a little stiff to open. put nail from one hand in opening and fingers at side as designed and it's not an issue.

controls - touch controls are really well implemented and work consistently and don't activate when you are taking in and out of ear due to stem design. has start/ stop, skip, volume up/down, voice assistant controls from earphone.

charging - has usb-c. not sure if it was claimed but box has wireless charging also.

I've also had these about 5 months and they are the best headphones I've had for jogging, very snug fit and lightweight.

I haven't really got used to the touch controls so use the phone for volume and skipping tracks etc. They seem hyper sensitive.

In summary, brilliant value for money

You don't have to use them if you don't want to.

All the controls can be done from the phone / mp3 player etc instead if you wanted.

    Hey all,

I've been using Anker Soundcore Life P2s since January last year. They've been great - fantastic battery life, generally no issues with bluetooth dropouts, comfy fit. Usually only used for podcasts/videos/etc, and a lot of time with only 1 ear in.

Unfortunately, my toddler decided to see what would happen if you try to bite one, and broke the right ear  so I'll need replacements.

I could get the same again, I could get the Liberty Air 2 for £59.99. Any other of a similar style? The one major negative on the P2s is the quality of the mics, so an improvement there would be handy.

Ideally it would be something available on Amazon (I have vouchers), but can go elsewhere if needed.

Im looking at upgrading to the Liberty Air 2 myself. Reviews are great with wireless charging. There's a compatible phone app that gives you more EQ options, however I think price has creeped up on Amazon, and also you will get stung for extra duty fees from UK.

if you bought from amazon the "import duties" are irish VAT that is submitted to the irish government.

Irish VAT is now called import duties.

Before Brexit it wouldn't have been shown separate but (Irish VAT) would have been paid to the Irish exchequer (assuming it was ordered to an Irish address)

The Vankyo x400 from above are £40 rounded up, with 25% discount available, so £30.
If I add them to my basket and deliver to the uk I can get them for that price.

If I choose Irish Address, with the 25% discount, it comes in at £39.65.

So if UK vat is 20% and Irish Vat is 23% there should be a 3% higher price for an Irish buyer. So what am I missing here?

that doesn't make sense. amazon have screwed that up. the price at the top for shipment to ireland should have the UK vat removed. I've tried it for another item and the top price is showing correctly without the UK VAT. I noticed that yesterday with something else I was looking at that had a discount applied. the top price was showing as the full price as it is for you.

The earbuds are being sold by a third party. My guess is the third party is not Vat registered or the earbuds are shipping from China or somewhere else and Amazon are putting 21% Irish Vat on top of the £40 and then taking off the 25% discount.

Finally got a pair of Soundpeats TrueAir2 from Aliexpress. Took about a month to get here. I can't recommend them highly enough. I can't do the buds, as I feel they stretch my ear canal! I prefer them to rest in my ear. The sound quality is class. I haven't used them yet, to make a call, so can't comment on the mic

I see they've come down in price on Amazon. I think you can get 20% off that too

they are not shipped from China but it looks like it's the case with the VAT - not being handled by amazon for the VAT so Irish VAT is being added onto the price without the UK VAT being removed

they are still good earphones for £38 if phone / zoom call quality is an important feature

Yes, this is the problem it seems. Some third partys are set up for Vat and the price you see is almost exactly what you will pay.
