Best value house in Waterford €130k

Possibly looking to buy a house in Waterford, May at some point live in it depending on work situation. From a locals point of view what would be the best I could get for €130k cash. Wouldn't mind being 10 miles on the outskirts. Have looked on daft but without driving around myself has anyone seen any bargains? Would like some privacy but at that price what realistically can be got for a quick sale. Are houses going at below or above advertised prices? Would consider renovation project. Thanks ðŸ˜Š

Did you have any particular needs or wants? bedroom number, bungalow or two story etc?

There are plenty around, loads of 80's bungalows within a few minutes of town.

Thanks a million for that. They are both exactly what I am looking for! I hadn't thought of South Kilkenny at all. Will check out the locations.

The ones suggested by wmpdd3 would be spot on. I am open to any house though that is structurally sound min 2 bedrooms ideally more. Thanks.

I wouldn't personally recommend this house myself as it backs on to the main Waterford to Limerick road so it would be quite noisy and not overly private.

I would suggest taking a look at the house below in Kilmacow. Not overly private but not in an estate either. I live out that way myself and its a nice quiet area. (I'm not the seller either!)

I would definitely extend your scope to South Kilkenny and even as far as Carrick on Suir as it's not much further than 10 miles from the City

Frisby are building again in Foxwood. 3 beds although they are starting at 145,000 I think

Butlerstown ,is quite rural ,yet 10 minutes from Waterford .Thats where i would be looking for a detached bungalow with large garden .

Did you find a house? Currently in the same situation looking to buy.
Anyone see any goods value houses Kilmeaden/Butlerstown side of the City or near the estate?
