@ gizmo - I have heard a few of their songs, I downloaded Second Skin a few days ago and I'm planning on giving it a proper listen tonight. I like the softer songs like Eden and White Flag.

So far I'm only reading good reviews of Addicted to Pain which is great. Roll on September 30th! I won't be listening to any previews or anything like that. I want to hear the whole album and not spoil it for myself beforehand.

Yes aswell as being the starting point for Myles the band included Alesandro Cortini who was a touring member before he took up employment with NIN (who ill be seeing in 10 days :-) )

Well according to the official Alter Bridge Facebook page, the Irish release date is actually the 27th as apposed to the 30th for the UK release. 11 days and counting. Yay, we get it first!!!

I better order my copy at the weekend.

Listened to the new record initial impressions are that it's a fairly solid release and most likely a better album than ABiii, not sure if it will live up to the hype been given by certain music journos though, anyone else hear it? Thoughts?

Just wondering if anyone is going to any of the gigs in the UK? I'm going to the VIP meet and greet in Glasgow, be my 5th time seeing them. Be great if all the Irish fans could meet up for a few drinks.

Great show in Birmingham this past Thursday, Band was on top form new songs particularity Cry Of Achilles and Farther Than The Sun were top drawer too. Great set and support bands were a great warm up for the main act for 25 pound an absolute bargain, lets hope they're over here in some capacity next year.

Saw the boys in Brussels Friday night. I'm still on a serious high from it. Unbelievable gig and a great setlist. Got the debut of "Bleed It Dry" and came home with a signed album and the setlist. Would love to see them play the Olympia or somewhere like that.

I can understand cant shake the Brum show off meself, but would the Olympia not b too small? I realise theyre not too big here but can imagine them sellin one night there fairly rapid. Hearin some of the new songs live has also ignited the fact that Id have Fortress as their second best album (behind blackbird) which is quite a feat if i say so meself.
