    Hi Guys,

we play a 5-a-side mixed 1hour social indoor soccer at Belvedere College at the corner of Temple Street/Denmark Street in Dublin 1 every Thursday at 7pm.

I have an attendance web-site set up so people can see
how many are coming each night and indicate their attendance.

We have currently a pool of ca 30 players who make a game of 10-12 players each week. We look for more players and
intend to start a league system with 4 teams / 2 games per week, as soon as the number of players alow this.

Game fee is 60 Euro split between the number of players.

Please send me an email at ambientarchitecture@yahoo.com and I will put you on the attendance list.

    Thanks

    Stefan

I have just recently moved to Dublin and am looking to set up 5(6) v 5(6) indoor/astro soccer among friends each week.

Does anybody have a list of venues with contact numbers or a contact number for a venue they use themselves?

    Thanks in advance!

    Less of it.

Thread Starter, we have a sticky thread for this type of thing, into which I've moved the posts.

If ANYONE else has a go, or mentions the Celtic thing, there will be trouble.

ffs lads, all these people are trying to do is get a few bodies for a team together.

We, of all people, know how hard that is.

    One big football family. OK.

whats the standard like? im not from dublin so dont keep up to date with the divisions. what i am after is something local which this is and be of a reasonable standard, semi serious, but a bit of a laugh also. i just want to get back playing grass 11 a side again after a year out.

Sorry Ed, such a thing does not exist. You're either serious, or your 'avin a laff, the 2 are mutually exclusive...

it can exist, you an enjoy your game, but take it serious while doing it. is this the standard your team are in (UCFL div 3B), or are ye higher/lower? i honestly dont understand what way it works up ere.

So, pray tell, which is Boardeaux???

Hmm, I don't think the UCFL would be widely considered to be all that competitive in the grand scheme of things but don't hold me to that...I'm sure all leagues will have their share of decent players. What separates the different leagues is their level of organisation with regard to pitches, referees etc etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,346 ✭✭✭✭homerjay2005

i think boardeaux is exactly that, we take it very serious albeit we dont train :(, but we try to enjoy it as much as we can and do our best to win every game.

Don't think I'd have enough experience tbh. Doing the basic FAI badges in Sept and only really ever coached kids. Maybe next year if you're still searching :P

For the moment I'm in Romania...but if someone help me to join to a team in Dublin, then I can come in a few days there.
But please tell me something really safe to go to because I need to play at a football team for more reasons (some personal).
In ROmania you are not paid if you don't play in the first 11. I finished my contract with former team 2 years ago, the contract for which was 150 euros per month. I don't want that you understand that I'm coming to a team from Dublin for money, but I need some money, doesn't metter how many.
I need someone's help. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

unfortunately boardeaux dont pay players, though rumour has it that one player called shay, gets some under the table " expenses" per appearance:p.

we only in it for the fun, if you want to get paid, then you need to be -

    a - exceptionally good.
b - play for a very high standard team.

you would not be able to live in dublin on football wages alone, unless you played for the League of Ireland teams such as Shelbourne, St Pats, Bohemians etc....

You are absolutely right. Romanians still not entitled to work in Ireland, but then how explain you that in Dublin over 5,000 Romanians are working (and around). There are many jobs that the Irish refuse them, and who accept work in their place? 80% Romanians. I saw on TV that it is possible that the months of September to give the Romanians work. Anyway I want to go to a team that could even give me 200 euros a week. (to have food and pay an hostel or rent a flat..).

No offense joker, but you're not going to find a team to pay you on here.
Your best bet is to come over and get a job somewhere, and try and get some trials in some of the EL clubs.

You have picked a very appropriate user name for yourself as you must be having a laugh looking for that sort of money. On your previous post you said you got 150 a month but you wouldnt be looking for that here. Now you are looking for 200 a week.Gullible.png

I hope that I will find a semipro team who can give me some money. (doesn't metter how much)
But besides football I will try to find a good job too.
Maybe I will have a little good luck. Who knows?:)
