Coleman Hawkins encounters Ben Webster, sublime album with some beautiful sax playing that's almost lyrical in it's quality.

Favourite song has to La Rossita, always puts a smile on my face.

GTA III did me a big favour introducing me to the Scientist.

Just finished listening to Boards of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest. Probably my favourite album of theirs since the seminal - Music Has the Right to Children.

Also yesterday I listened to John Tejada - Parabolas, a really great electronic album.

Diesel and Dust from Midnight Oil, some very strong material besides the two well known singles.

Just got done with a listen to Born to Run. It's such a great, compact album, there is no down tracks, just great from start to finish. I always just want to listen again once it finishes.

I heard they only had 8 songs for this, recorded them and put out the record.

They then recorded like 40 tracks for the next album and had to leave off quite a few obviously.

The last album I listened to was Tears Roll Down (Greatest Hits 82-92) by Tears for Fears.

Good compilation but let down by the use of longer album versions rather than the correct 7" single mixes. A Greatest Hits should only include album versions if there is no single edit.

This disc is a great complement - https://www.discogs.com/Tears-For-Fears-Tears-Laid-Low-A-Tears-For-Fears-Alter-Collection/release/2300448

    Funkdoobiest- "Which Doobie U B"

No recollection of ever buying it or how I ended up with it in my collection but listened to it a few times in the car over the last few days. It is actually good fun- real early 90s comedy hip hop/rap throwback. Cypress Hill and House of Pain were my first albums so very much along the same vain.

The Courage of Others by Midlake. If you're into moody folk rock I'd recommend that one.
