Yep, and Tessa Thompson was on Kimmel last night (or one of those talk shows), she flies out today.

They did an amusing instagram appeal to Taika asking for roles.

Melissa McCarthy is a very funny woman IMO (and has dramatic chops to boot), but one whose CV obscures that conversation because a lot of it is terrible.

Her improvisation's pretty good, so I'd be optimistic someone like Taika Waititi would really get the best out of her.

    That's a spectacularly good call :D

Indeed, Spy is hilarious. But she'll always be Sookie in Gilmore Girls! :-)

So, some folk recorded location shooting, which revealed McCarthy's cameo; I initially linked the Twitter video, but the thumbnail kinda gives the game away.

    She plays
Fake Hela, during a return of the Matt Damon starring stage actors from Ragnarok

I know nothing of body-building, weight gain 'n all that, but surely that kind of muscle mass can't be entirely healthy? At least in terms of what it takes to get there - and what "shortcuts" might have been used as well. Same with the likes of The Rock: he seems to have gone from merely muscular, to looking like he's smuggling melons under his jumper.

The Rock definitely use supplements :pac:

It's kinda shocking if you see him in early films like Race to Witch Mountain and then more recent fare. He looks like a different person entirely.

Even comparing his bulk/size now to the height of his wrestling career when he was in his prime years mid 20's to early 30's he dwarfs that version of himself now.

There's no WADA for actors. They're free to take all the steroids they can, and if they won't, someone else will.

You know, for a minute I kinda forgot he even wrestled. Good point!

When Ricky Gervais said there should be an award for most ripped junkie, but we know who would win that? was there an obvious candidate? I was thinking The Rock

"You ever feel lost? Just look into the eyes of people that you love."

    😂

I know the MCU films' comedic streak isn't everyone's cuppa, but the Waititi treatment of Thor has been one of its better, more successful swings in that direction.
