Not a great last week with less than 10km swam. However spent the week in Calella with the kids swim club where they trained in the outdoor 50m pool alongside some elite squads, including the Russian National Squad who were in the lanes alongside on a couple of sessions. It was a real treat to see such elite swimmers up so close and stand alongside them on deck as they trained. On a proud Dad level my 12 yo Son and 13 yo Daughter did their first 10km swimming in a day - 100m x 100 over two sessions off intervals that I can't hold. Dad is well and truly in third place in the household swim league.

Have dialled the swim volume back in a little bit over the last few weeks as body was starting to feel it. Did a couple of short hard swims last week and then just under 6k over two hard sessions in the pool on Friday. I'd like to try and get a few double days done in the pool over the summer, hopefully covering some decent distances over the day.

I hope to add a couple of kms to the run column this week as I have the ok to try a short run from the physio. Just my luck I have a bad cold but I'll try ten minutes on grass this week.
