Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Re-read it a few months ago, fantastic book. Hard going at times, but very hard to put down.

Incredible author. Ending shocked me to to core because of how it was written in the context of the book as a whole. Child of God is worth a read too but the film not so much. I'm sure many have seen the road, that is a book worth reading too by the same author.

    Great spoiler tags....

? Posting on mobile and they are working for me. Everything is blacked out.
Deleted the post to be sure. Apologies if the tags did not work, they did as far as I could see.

You can use the stage coach?
trains seem to be out of action after Arthur and John blew up baachus bridge
Not if you have a huge bounty and no money. Some of the missions require riding beside someone talking shít anyway and there isn't a town near to get on and off via stagecoach in a lot of them. Why they didn't have a "skip journey" button ins beyond me.

Think I am about 2/3 the way through Chapter 6 now:

It's fecking heartbreaking, Strauss' victims, the veteran (hunting missions), Arthurs health, Rains fall etc, the only happy moment so far has been watching Colm dangle.

    In weapons:
Loving the repeating shotgun & litchfield repeater :D

Some game, it's one of the best pieces of media I've had the pleasure of enjoying, really don't want it to end.

There's a section in the wardrobe for stolen hats, you can add it to your outfit from there when changing outfits.

Yeah I noticed that but they never save for me, a bug maybe?

I think that's only for certain hats, I picked one up randomly because it was flashing at me and got a notification that I had found a special hat, it now resides in the stolen hat section... Its a gaucho hat from a fella who used to drive a stagecoach

Ok that would explain it! Bit stupid how you can't take any hat though

there's one bounty, cant remember who...
think it might be pikes basin with sadie
..where he comments on the hat the guy is wearing. think that is one of the special/pick up hats you can get.

WTB Fast Travel back to Camp... horrendous hauling animals back to it, it's so fecking tedious!!

It would be awesome if you could 'holler' for a delivery dude to bring your pelts back to camp, for a fee of course. It really takes away from the hunting if you can technically only hunt 1 big animal at a time.

In freeroam, has anyone been looking into the different mysteries and such?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,494 ✭✭✭recyclops

I thought it was never gonna end, it really became quite tedious near the end. I know what rockstar were trying to do but by the end of it I was glad to turn it off😕

Chapter 5 is one of the most misguided things I’ve ever seen in a huge game. Just so badly done.

I've only started Chapter 3. Really enjoying it...I can understand how people have been getting fed up with the constant long treks but I suppose when you only play the game on a Friday and Saturday night the novelty doesn't wear off as quickly.

Finally won a big game of poker. Made €25 out it so not bad. I usually play until either I lose or grow tired of the game, but this time I played right through to the end.

What I found with poker in this is that it's not worth the time. Grand if you're only looking to relax and play a bit of poker, it can be fine, but as a game mechanic for making money, the return is not worth the time investment, even in St. Denis.

I mainly play it to relax, but if I play a big game I do get a satisfaction out of winning and taking all the winnings.

I don't know how to play poker so I usually lose and then I fire bomb everyone

The game is actually helping me learn how to play poker. Never really played it before I got Red Dead 2.

They have instructions for all the games in one of the menus.

Spent most of it just shaking my head. Really hurt the overall pacing of it for me.
