Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Smith has learned how to fight.

It's finals where he chokes. The lack of a crowd may help him though.

Yeah, that's true. Promising to see his head didnt drop when ratajski was banging in those big finishes though.

They have grooves in them and are damaging the board apparently

More like a screw than a tip. Board looks like a bale of hay after a few legs.

Lewis acting like an absolute muppet on stage, roaring and screaming after hitting 140s. Delighted to see him beaten.

You could tell the commentators were gutted aswell, they seem to worship him for whatever reason.

Durrant is a bit of a miserable git when he's not winning

Yea I missed what happened, something about an early board change??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,823 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

I didn't see the second game but VVDV threw a dart underarm and got called on it apparently? But Part said it happened early in the match so shouldn't have affected him.

Great match this, what we'd expect from "the final" 🀣

Gotta feel for Smith, kept fighting, I’m sure he’ll win a big one soon.

Entertaining game that, thought Smith was going to melt after Anderson had a 5 leg lead but he kept fighting to the end

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,629 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

How cringy is that VdB walk on dance especially to an empty hall :(

If Smith has Durrant’s mental strength and clutch dart ability he’d never be beaten :)

Fair play Van Der Berg, he has the slower deliberate throw to have a potentially good career in PDC

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,823 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

I think Dimitri could beat Anderson, wouldn't have fancied Durrant at all.

Has Taylor been on at all? Thought he was meant to be part of the Sky team

Mardle conspicuous by his absence too.

Neither of the above are complaints btw

Mardle's mother is very ill that's why he's not there

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,651 ✭✭✭US2

Feeling this will be a very lopsided final, hope not.

Hope VdB wins it. Used to love Anderson but in recent years he’s turned into a moaney windbag

That 170 from VdB was pure class

VDB going to win. Anderson miles off the pace no 180s in 20 legs

Did I back him though? Of course not!

Delighted for Dimitri, be interesting to see where he goes from here

Dvdb was very solid all week and deserved the win.

Anderson was very poor tonight and not at his best during the tournament.

Great to have darts back on tv. Roll on the next one.

Disappointing final but I enjoyed the week.

Great production and I thought the crowd noises were very well timed and added to the perception of it being before a live audience

dimitri is incredibly fortunate that he will go down in history as a matchplay champion when in reality it wasn't really the matchplay. Glorified floor event .
