Sex before a smear

    I'm just wondering if anyone knows if you can have sex the night before a smear? Smear is tomorrow and Normally I wouldn't even consider it but were trying for a baby and I'm pretty sure I'll ovulate tomorrow so really should be doing the deed tonight.
    Should I cancel? I've checked online and they all say avoid sex if using a barrier such as lube or contraception.
    What if you're not using any of that??
