Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hahaha I didn't look as graceful as she did!!

I was out in day 3, which is the best I could get with a C section!

Dogs are settling in well with the newbie, day one was tough, constant words 'easy, back, ah ah'

All work fully now and both dogs give a little lick and walk away..

Huge difference from day1 being home to how they act now!!

Huge part of it is that they still get their walkies every day.. so they're happy!

Capercaillie, as the owner of white dog, a Westie with a hairy arse, I do admire how clean Tintin's backside is lol. But my god that dog is amazing and happy and a credit to you!

Oh lovely, shakencat! And the trees are fabulous in blossom aren't they?

So how are they with the new baby now? Permanent guard duty? Or still a bit unsure?

(The picture looks like it's a matter of "nobody is going to steal this baby"!)

The moving about will be a new phase for sure, but they'll already know her, so it won't be the same as having a baby that age suddenly coming into the house.

One good thing from a dog's point of view (and the baby's!) about this stage is all those walkies with prams. There's nothing better for settling a small baby, so everyone benefits from all those walks!

And I forgot to say, Willow looks gorgeous in those photos.

And how is the new mum? Everyone always asks about the baby, and in your case now the dogs too I imagine - but how are you getting on? Not too wrecked?

Yeh they already associate the buggy with walkies.. get excited.. so all positive baby interactions!

Today was the first day I took them myself with the buggy,
Delighted I tried. It wasn't a problem at all.. bar pulling me for sniffs randomly, which happened normally anyway!

With the other half back to work this week, means I can get out (can't drive for 6 weeks :( )

It's the one thing that we kept up.. walkies! So I don't think they've been put out too much?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,277 ✭✭✭aonb

What good dogs Raven and Ralph minding Willow - do you 'tie' them to the buggy?!?!? :)
Her immune system will be wonderful - Im a great believer in boosting the immune system with early exposure to dog/cat/hen/horse/dirt!!!!!!!!!!!! (that was always my excuse anyway)

Janey I don't trust them to be tied onto the buggy!

    If they pull she's gone!

They're on my wrists and I hold the buggy, means I can grab the leads if a certain C.A.T wanders down the road!

That word is one of the many words I can't say out loud haha! Walkies, lead, dinner, breakfast, daisy.. they are all words we have to spell out too! Oh, and bickie!
