Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

With all due respect do you seriously think any adults believe this garbage.." given an option to go to heaven "!

I've answered questions in good faith in case its helpful to anyone.

I'm aware that boards, and the whole country, is full of sulking atheists. Not my problem.

Seemingly only 144,000 is the capacity of heaven.

no way am i making the cut anyway

And don't those 144,000 have to be from 12 groups of Israeli tribes?

But your answer is nonsensical, I mean read it again, it doesn't answer any question!

    Let me simplify

    1. We're discussing heaven

    2. You asked what about the people who lived and died before Jesus Christ's ministry

    3. I said that they could be allowed to go to heaven (at a later date)

Correct, and I answered if you seriously believed that adults believed that garbage, which led you to go off on one about sulking atheists.

Quiet a lot do and don't consider it as you do. It's clear you don't. Just get on with your life.

I'm atheist but not anti-theist (just anti corrupted theism) and I'd love if there were all those people you see and suddenly you hear they're dead.

Anyone I never got a chance to see that last time.

And all the animals that have been and gone.

So possibly may not get into 'heaven' but I'd be delighted with that whatever it was called

I'm a full on agnostic, relaxed that whatever happens or doesn't happen happens when the time comes.

The funny thing about vocal or strident atheists though is that if there was a God, you almost get the impression they'd be devastated about it, wailing and pounding the ground in despair! It's weird! :pac:

Chapman was much give to dreaming and often related to Keats the strange things he saw when in bed asleep. On one occasion he dreamt that he had died and gone to heaven. He was surprised and rather disappointed at what he saw for although the surroundings were most pleasant, there seemed to be nobody about. The place seemed to be completely empty and Chapman saw himself wandering disconsolately about looking for somebody to talk to. He suddenly woke up without solving this curious puzzle.

‘It was very strange,’ he told Keats. ‘I looked everywhere but there wasn’t a soul to be seen.’

    Keats nodded understandingly.

‘There wasn’t a sinner in the place,’ he said.

    You exist there as energy.

    You glow.

    Yellow in human form.

Poor Jesus. 2,000 years with his mother, some thief and a pyromaniac. Not my idea of paradise.

There should also be 72 virgin maidens, no?
