Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So it's a set apiece Unterbuchner v Mandigers, both with the darts.

Looking forward to seeing Lieghton Bennet and Beau Greeves especially. Other than them I probably wont watch a single game for the first time in 20 years.

    Your post defies logic.

    How?

I've no interest atall in watching crappy production, cameras missing all 3 darts, 3 people atmosphere an commentary trying to talk it up.

I'm very interested to see those two players play tho so I will watch their games.

Itll be the first time in 20 years I havnt watched every game.

3 - 1 to the German. Showed far better composure than the higher scoring
    Mandigers.

Be something to look forward to alright.
Might even drag a few in for free off the street.
Could make for some entertainment and possibly not so
    much "best of order" :p

Hedman - Turner due on at 8.
Wonder will it be on telly.

If Rawling or Nicholson are on comms guaranteed at least one of them won't be able to believe she's 60, yes she's actually 60.

Well ye bloody well knew she was 59 last year....

I like making predictions on here, part of the fun :P :)

Think Deta wins it and after her next match she's on
    comms.

Also wonder could Turner get on comms at some stage or is she not allowed to
on account of being on the pdc punditry/comms squad.

All part and parcel and it adds to my viewing entertainment.

Seems to be an okay crowd there today from what I can see. Not too many
empty seats best as I can make out.

Agreed, it should include male players. The likes of John Henderson and Adrian Lewis amongst others get a battering from certain poster(s) here.

In fairness though, their physical state can have a lot to do with their results, paticularly over the longer matches and where they play multiple matches on one day.

Peter Wright actually said in one of his post match interviews at the worlds that at the grand slam he did not eat properly and that affected his form and that was something he was looking to change going forward.

Look no one is expecting them all to be built like Gerwyn Price but in Adrian Lewis case his alarming dip in form does seem to have coincided with his large weight gain.

O'shea is terrible. First dart just seems so rushed compared to the next two

Most of the comments made are not done constructively as you have done though. But in a derogatory fashion.

Can't understand why at this level with 3 in hand the thrower doesn't go for a big 2 first
    with 10 left.
Could have cost O'shea that last leg. We'll never know now

Bye bye John. Done well to come back from 2 nil down and force a decider.

    Had every chance last set

How can the acoustics of the walk-on music be so terrible in an actual concert venue.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,629 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Just tuned in, crowd looks very small, any idea how many in there tonight?

Where are they going to get the prize money from, ticket sales won’t cover it

    TbL

Can't see anything other than a Hedman win here though both
    aren't up to much

If that’s right can’t see how they will be able to pay the men’s winner 50k.

There’ll be a couple of twists yet from the BDO

    TbL

It doesn't look good if this is the size of crowd they're getting for a Sunday evening session.

Will there be anyone there for the midweek afternoon sessions??

    Jesus :(

I grew up watching legends play darts at the Lakeside.

The way the BDO is running it now is a travesty

Only a guess on my part. May be more. But yeah, when you take into account total prizemoney they'll have to come up with about 200k somehow.

With no sponsors and these crowds that’s just not possible

I presume the venue takes the bar revenue?

They have to pay the venue too, they're renting it out.
