    I don't mind Oreos, in fact they are nice for a change now and then.

    It's interesting that some describe them as tasting like soot because there was a type of biscuit that was effectively soot, namely charcoal biscuits and they were quite popular among the upper classes in the early 20th century but nowadays you only tend to hear of them in novels and period dramas.
