On a walk in Marley Park and its bickering snow now. Everything white now.

That was a decent snow shower in Dublin 16. Left a good covering on all surfaces. Has melted now on roads/pavements. 1.1c at.

Quite the covering on Croagh Patrick today.

Some light to moderate sleet and graupel showers here on the DLR coast. That's probably the last of the instability for today. Can't complain after this morning's mini whiteout (that brought about an inch of snow). Not too hopeful re. February but who knows.

Limavady must be cut off. Where's our correspondent?

Local SNOWTAM from Derry Eglinton. Runway clear and wet. Some slush deposits around periphery surfaces up to 25 mm deep.

UKV model going for lows of -6C to -7C locally across parts of Leinster, Connacht, Munster and south Leinster. Could turn very cold over snow covered areas. Chart attached below

Just a pity we couldn't have another trough coming into that cold air later tonight.

snow practically all gone here in Dunshaughlin, even out of the sunlight. A few traces of snow in the ditches and the odd wilting mini snowman.

A real dumping of snow here in Co. Down, around 4-5inches, brought power lines down, just got reconnected. Looks like its all beginning to freeze now

That happened in the last hour or so. Marley Park just to the right of that photo.

Might be one last attempt for Dublin coastal fringes shortly but then that will be that. Upper level winds already off shore further north along the county Down coast.

Going to be a very cold night, will be very icy conditions where the showers occurred today.

Most of the snow here has thawed away and it hasn't gone above 1c, south east Cavan. Why has it thawed so easily? Is it because it was wer snow?

the snow was very wet here and almost turned back to rain at one point. Strong sunshine today made swift work of the snow cover despite temperatures only being 1 to 2C.

Another stunning clear sunny day in Letterkenny and still no melting at all since Fridays snow. Had a top up overnight but only amounted to <1cm

Would love to head out to the hills for a walk but with that being illegal a walk around the far more crowded park will have to do

That’s so bizarre. We can go wherever we want here.

That’s not true, you have a 10 mile restriction in the North.
