Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Soooo, I'm an old man now(35) but a long term fan of Slipknot, I have never managed to see them live though. My days of moshpits etc are long behind me now so I'm going to grab seated seats for myself and my wife, how much are we looking at for them?

Hmm. They seem to be refreshing every so often though so may get lucky hopefully.

Guessing the REALLY good seats will be held back for the VIP packages and then those that are unsold will be released in the week leading up to the gig as 'production hold' tickets

Just got standing tickets there with the 3 Presale. Thought they might be all gone after they were released early yesterday but there's still some available!

To be fair I think a lot of us fans are thirty plus considering their heyday was twenty years ago. Think I first saw them in 02 or 03?

Also an oldie at 35 here (!), I hate sitting at concerts, feel like I might as well be at home watching it on the TV.

My parents are in their 50s and still stand whenever we go to gigs together!

Hopefully because they're a rip off and not because earplugs are 'uncool' :)

I forgot mine going to Foo Fighters and picked some up in a pharmacy for €1. You can also ask a medic, friend of mine was working at the previous Slipknot gig and gave me a few packets of them. Not worth damaging the hearing :)

Working now - only standing with the collectors ticket was available

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 160 ✭✭aj89

    Eventually got two standing

  • Registered Users Posts: 117 ✭✭Reznorek

These f......s are forcing us to buy collectors tickets even if I don't want them
    Got one anyway.

There's actually an option to buy without but its not really intuitive to click on it.

By the time I'd figured it out, regular standing was sold out.

So I had to get the stupid collector tickets or not get tickets at all.

  • Registered Users Posts: 600 ✭✭✭DepecheHead101

Got two standing, thank jaysus, as they appear to be all sold out for now.

    All together now...

    Here we go again mother****ers!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,288 ✭✭✭DaveyDave

Standing still available. Weird that people are seeing sold out? Are they just getting selected then released after a while?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,971 ✭✭✭✭peekachoo

I refreshed over and over and eventually got offered standing. Just got them now!

Typical ticketbastard, will be releasing the crap seats first to make sure they go and will release the better ones later

Got front row this morning after about about 30-40 mins of refreshing

Took about 20 minutes of refreshing but managed to get a standing ticket.

Ended up with a Collectors ticket.

    Delighted, first time seeing them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 849 ✭✭✭Blanchy90

Are all the standing tickets gone? It keeps saying we couldn't find you a ticket.

Really don't want to get a seated ticked

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,157 ✭✭✭✭Rjd2

yeah could not get standing,,,was at work so could not keep refreshing.

Think I'l try a little more now and then and then go for sitting.

Dont be surprised down the line more "standing tickets" being released because people didnt want to buy the collectors edition ones.

Are they charging extra for the collectors edition?

Yup €6 extra, If they were like German tickets or something might be a novelty but for whatever reason they go with things that look like cheap ID laminates someone serving you at the airport or something would have on :pac:

Even the 150+€ standing tickets arent coming up on Ticketmaster anymore. You'd have to assume they're doing it on purpose, they'd hardly sell out at that price?

I was unable to obtain a ticket for any of the dates, I had remembered someone here say months ago, I think it was WrongWay1985 that the Belfast date 3 years ago didn't sell out so I assumed it wouldn't have been popular, though I'm not sure about going anyway, I do like Slipknot but the thought of giving money to insufferable Corey Taylor doesn't sit right with me, I saw them once from afar at Download this year.

Ummm, maybe you are talking specifically about standing tickets but if not there are plenty seated tickets left!

I'm sure it especially didn't sit right with you after not being able to get tickets.

To each their own, but my rock n'roll calendar would be a whole hell of a lot emptier if I elected not to see bands with at least one absolute knob goblin in them. Notable exceptions like Maiden aside, the vast majority of top flight bands in rock and metal are filled with some absolute weapons.

    It's all about the music.

I think London would be handier to go to as I live in the Ulster countryside as I previously mentioned which doesn't have good public transport links to the Pale. I do enjoy visiting London even though I am anti London rule, I try to stay in a different area every time I go, last time was Brixton,
I never noticed London being that expensive, I am able to get a hotel room at £50 whereas they are much more expensive in Dublin, I dislike going to Europe because of the language difference though I haven't been there since I was 11.

Arrogant little posts like your really annoy me, fishing for the upvotes. If you are poking fun of my excessive writing style or something it is because I have Aspergers, I can't even express how arrogant "roll eyes" symbols are.

Taylor is basically joint leader of Slipknot now, supporting the band is supporting him, anyway I can find the odd standing ticket but I think I'll miss this tour as I'm not paying £300 for a trip to Glasgow, judging by the Download crowd I am better off at work that evening anyway, a load of hipsters pretending to be dark edgy metal heads whilst at the same time holding their girlfriends hand.
