The 22.110 is superior for another 30 odd euro with Amazon Germany.

Looks cooler alright ! More buttons !

Is it 22 euro shipping from amazon germany ? making it 310 overall?

Youtube: Keeping up on the maintenance for your DeLonghi espresso machine's brew unit

Great find , I haven't cleaned the brew unit since I got it (2 years ago)

The machine is used nearly daily so probably well overdue at this stage.

**Edit its actually 3 years old now**

I ordered a Used - Good one from the warehouse and came to €272 including shipping. It should arrive on Monday/Tuesday so will let you know how it is.

Ya arrived a few weeks ago. Had clearly been used, as there were coffee grounds in the grinder. On unpacking 2 pieces were loose in the box. A rubber O-Ring and a red piece, and there was no water filter. I emailed delonghi a photo of them and they told me where the red piece went but didn't know about the O-Ring and advised me to return it to the retailer. I've been using it for the last few weeks and it's working perfectly.

So emailed amazon customer service and a lady who spoke english rang me. Asked if I wanted to keep it etc.. probably would've given me a 20% refund if I had, but I said I'd return it so she sent me a shipping return label. She couldn't offer to send me a new one in place of it and said I'd have to place a new order. So I did and emailed them to see if they've waive the shipping on the new one, which they did. So the new one cost €288, and it arrived this week. Have to pack up the old one now and send it off.

Way too much hassle, don't think I'll be using the warehouse again unless the saving are a lot more than 10%

This would be normal, even for a new machine, as they are factory tested. (Which is a good thing, because before buying my DeLonghi I got a Gaggia bean-to-cup machine which was dead on arrival - the grinder didn't work at all!)

Mine just gave up there a few days ago.

It grinds the coffee that's about it and Notting comes out. It flashes that you have to fill up the water or empty the drop tray and put are perfect.

I just can't work out why it'd not makeing coffee anymore.

Like the grinds are going into where you put ground coffee to make it worse.

What are di lingi like for support?

Have you been descaling it? The red flashing light should remind you when. If you ignore the descaling your machine will eventually get clogged up and die. Also warranty gets invalidated :)

Have had one of these for 3 years now, still working fine.

What's the best way of descaling it?

Errr put descaler into the water and activate descale mode as detailed in manual.

They say to only use official delonghi descaler but fsck that it's impossible to get. Be careful what you use tho, make sure it's suitable for coffee machines (some acids dissolve plastic). I find "oust" to work fine.

I meant which descaler to use if I can't get my hands on the official delonghi one.

    Is this the stuff?

Yeah that's the official stuff. I use "kilrock" or "oust" and they work fine, you can find these common descalers in any supermarket. Make sure whatever you use says "for coffee makers" on it, some descalers are seriously powerful stuff meant for unblocking outdoor drains etc!

Would this be better than a Gaggia classic?

I've had both this and the gaggia classic. My classic died on me and i replaced with this.

Its a lot more convenient that the classic and creates less mess (although that could be just me).

Its very good value at this price, i would recommend.

I have this over 3 years. I get great use out of it, makes a lovely cup of coffee, and very convenient. Well recommended. my only problem was drinking too much coffee !!

Is anyone else having issues with the dial to turn on the milk steamer.

Mine seems to be on the way out. It is still turning but is making a cracking noise like it is missing cogs or something.

Where would be a good place for replacement parts if needed?

I'd say without a doubt. Been watching this for about a year waiting for it to go to 199 sterling. Jumped on it today.

My dial has been stiff since I received it, but still going strong. Drop De Longhi support a line as a starting point and see what they say - is it within warranty?

Correct it’s £6 for quicker, or free with a slightly longer wait

Same...picked up a milk jug and 1kg of lavazza beans to go with it :-)

You won't be disappointed coming from a Nespresso.

My Nespresso is sitting lonely on the counter - the only time it gets some use is when some weirdo friends ask for a decaf :D I get a weekly supply of 3FE beans into mine - get some good quality beans and it blows the Nespresso out of the water...

You will not be disappointed. I pulled the trigger last year on Black Friday. This is sooooo much better than nespresso and cheaper in the long run.

    Get yourself good beans.

    I use these:

Hello, when I go to Amazon check out for the ESAM4200, the price increases from GBP 198.99 to GBP 203.97, even with free postage selected, is this VAT, or am I doing something wrong?

I just got one myself too. ESAM 4200, the price is too good. My daily coffee machine is Franke Saphira, I might put it on sale now, for only two coffees daily Saphira is overkill for me. Compact coffee machines are not my best choice, but for the price and two coffees a day, it might be ok.

Hoping its not on back order as this is a chrimbo gift (to myself)

I'm getting this: "We'll dispatch your order as soon as possible.
This usually happens when an item doesn't have a release date, it's pre-ordered, or it's out of stock."

Bit ridiculous as there was no warning when I payed yesterday morning, and the delivery is supposed to be 3-5 days, so I am expecting it by Friday.

I was chatting to someone on their help page and they said it may not be in stock. They don't charge until it dispatches. I ended up cancelling and ordering from another site that had it on sale at the same price.

Yeah thinking the same.....bit pissed bout it...hope it wasnt too good to be through!!

And i ordered beans and jug which were dispatched today!!
