    “No recession in their house”

Doesn’t exist anymore but there was a time this was widespread. I flagged a taxi once at a bus stop and old biddies said that about me.

    Thankfully this one died out

    You make your own luck

If you made your own luck it wouldn't be luck, just good decision making

Luck ( good or bad) is any given outcome which we had no hand, act or part in, beit winning the lotto or being hit by a drunk driver while cycling home

    Captain Obvious

    Punter

Hashtag or dot com, when added to something that doesn't need them.

    Pre-owned

The word 'Basically' being used at the beginning of almost each sentence.

The use of the 'Yeah?' or 'Awright?' t the end of sentences.:mad:

Any sentence beginning with “So ...”
    “We are where we are”
    “Going forward ...”

Remember my brother telling me: anything before “but” is BS (apologies for the bad language!) It has proven quite accurate, e.g “I like your dress but, maybe you should go for a different colour”

The expression itself, or any derivation of 'A cheeky Nando's'.

    A cheeky Volvic?

    I seen.

    I done.

    Reaching out.

Just saying - you've said it, adding this doesnt dilute whatever you said.

I was gifted this - as in it was given to me as a present/free of charge

I hate "boils my piss", it's crass and vulgar.

Most Instagram captions or soppy posts looking for attention.

    "I've had worse Mondays"

    "It's safe to say"

To say I was shocked/happy/surprised is an understatement.

"Please revert as soon as possible" instead of "please reply". Revert does not mean reply. Does my head in.
