Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Valerian experiences?

    Hey guys,

Have a long haul 12 hour flight coming up starting at 6 a.m. I normally can never sleep on planes and I'll need to be fresh after this flight as I've a car rental to pick up at the airport so I'm staying away from over-the-counter sleep aids that will probably leave me groggy, so I'm wondering if a natural sleep aid like valerian or similar is worth it to try and catch a few hours sleep on the plane?

Or am I just better off wearing loose clothing, a pillow and trying to force myself to sleep naturally?

    Thanks.

Not sure we can recommend sleep aids here. I fly lots. Do the usual. Read novel till eyes heavy. Play laptop games. Homework.

Traveled with friend. Sat next to each other. Lifted arm rest. Leaned against him. Head on his shoulder. I was out like a light.

Valerian is a natural herb but you would be mistaken to think that makes it safe for everyone to take. Some people have a severe allergic reaction to it where the wind pipe closes and it becomes difficult to breathe. Most often this happens after several nights running but it can happen even the first time. Take care.

My God that's important advice, tried that years ago, lucky I guess, but I'd have taken it without being aware of the side affects being so severe,at the time I'd have tried anything to get the eyes closed
