Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Total ****. Who is buying their stuff.
People like my colleague who described Avoca as "such a cute little boutique" and thinks that overpriced tat in Fallon & Byrne is great.

I've seen one or two 'influencers' who take their words as gospel. 'Vegan' tosspots who don't educate people on the raft of things they need to eat in order to gain the correct amount of everything in their diet when they cut out the fun stuff.
The eternal teenager hot press journo Stewart clark

This was a strange one-I quite like him, because there's nothing wrong with being eternally young, so to speak. His enthusiasm is infectious. When he talks music and tv (he used to write for tv now) I quite enjoy his musings and opinions.

    Mary McAleese
    She’s outstayed her welcome

ya, how come she got two terms with no opposition?? ...yet poor ol'Michael D has to go through the whole campaign rigmarole again ?? don't seem right

Those who tried to run against her couldn't get the support needed to run as a candidate.
I remember Dana wanted to run-but she could not get a backer needed.
(I don't know the system, but she was running as an independent so didn't have the two party support).

That French actor Vince Cassel (?) think thats his name, the fella married to Monica Belucci (lucky c*nt).
Can not f-cking stand the guy!!!
Will put me off a film if he's in it for even a minute.

    Rosemary MacCabe.
She radiates smugness and comes across so unlikeable. Begging for Patreon handouts every few days, yet thinks nothing of splashing out €500 on food a week.
    I just find her loathsome.

Not anymore-his marriage I mean. They split up. Has a new girlfriend now. He dumped her when he was done with her-which is scummy.

I'd tolerate him if I got a chance to date his sister, Cecile. She's a beauty.

He's good in some movies, and not in others. His interpretation of the Beast in the french version of Beauty and the Beast is really good- the film is far better than the Disney version.

Rosemary McCabe might need her own thread soon with the amount of nominations she's getting.

She quit a well paying magazine editorial job to be a blogger, but this is Ireland so that won't pay the bills, now she works in a gym.

Her patreon is pathetic-165 alleged patreons, but they can also cancel a payment at any time, so if she may be making a lot less than she implies.

Good start but Brid Smith, Coppinger, should be in jail Murphy, posh poster boy Boyd Barrett and if you're going UK then Len McClusky- makes Brendan Ogle look like Noel Edmonds.

    Oh grand!!

Hi Rosemary - you're no more an accomplished writer than I am Ant Man; your brand of feminism is so toxic it should come in a bottle with skull and crossbones on it and please stop vaguely inventing "crimes" that never happened 15 years later to populate click bait articles for impressionable female Leaving Cert students.

Oh and back on topic Joan Collins- the wagon TD, not the absolute bona fide legend!!!

Apparently the gorgeous Dame Joan had what I believe the kids call a "twitter spat" with the wagon TD.

Taking on a legend like the woman who brought Alexis Morrell Carrington Colby Dexter to life ? Back in your box commoner!!!!

Even in the Dark Days of 2004, she'd hardly have been a realistic prospect to wing even if she got the nomination. After all, she did run the election before, and barely "saved her deposit" in third place.

OK, also not inexplicable: explanation is very simple, he looks so smug I want to punch him. But definitely weirdly disproportionate. And fictional, to boot. (Unless I just want to punch the actor generally, not specifically this "portrayal".)

To wit: the guy with the jug -- jug, I ask you! -- of Avonmore "Heart Active" -- on the weather sponsorship segments.

How any single individual can look quite so self-satisfied, just from pouring a quasi-dairy product into his beverage...

I can only assume it took the sustained efforts of some top casting people.

Let's be honest, when you start digging even a little, most of these noms are very, very explicable, one way or another!

Majella O'Donnell was an oidd one - seems rather innocuous to me!

I loathe the following and I'm sure a lot think them okay!

    Andy Murray
    Gary Lineker
    Myleene Klass
    That McCall bint
Anyone who describes themselves as a "social influencer"
Mrs Jame Dornan - just, cos, ya know!!! :D

I the spirit of outreach, I'll admit to agreeing with you on Klass. It's that Mail/Express lowbrow take on what they imagine to be "highbrow". With a generous dash of cheesy cheesecake. (Yes, I know cheesy cheesecake is a tautology. Merited here, all the same.)

Some of them are explicable with reference to the person being complained about.

Others, in terms of the person doing the complaining...

Can't say I've seen the programme but I have seen her on Brendan O'Connor's programme and she regularly writes in the Sunday Indo. She's very annoying. I like the Cork accent but her's goes through my head. Not really inexplicable I suppose.

I never got that chip-and she was fairly grand to talk to on twitter...but maybe there's overexposure now, and all this 'she's such a hero'...well, not really?
Her show is coming to an end, she's 31 now, and she doesn't conform to the 'blame the patriarchy' tripe LON and co peddle-she likes makeup, likes wearing dresses, likes modelling and so on. She doesn't stick with feminism, she's more egalitarian tbh.

She's making a podcast now, with her friend-and there are just too many podcasts now. Especially in Ireland. Just stahp.
