This thread replaces the old PSNI Recruitment thread which became too big and unmanageable. By breaking down the application process into seperate threads, we hope that you will find information easier to access with less repetition.

Applying to join the Police Service of Northern Ireland - Application information, questions and answers relating to applying can be posted here.

Stage 1 - The Initial Selection Test - This thread contains information about Stage 1 of the application process. Questions, Answers and general information about The Initial Selection Test and results can be found here.

Stage 2 - The Assessment Centre - 3 Role Plays, 1 Situational Interview, 1 Written Exercise. Feel free to ask general questions about The Assessment Centre. Requests for details will be deleted. Remember, no details of the scenarios you witness and write about about can be posted on boards.ie

Stage 3 - Vetting - Welcome to Hell On Earth. Vetting takes a long time - up to 1 year if you're not from Northern Ireland. Post your questions, answers and experiences here.

Stage 4 - The Medical - If you pass Vetting, you will need to complete a full medical examination. Post all advice, questions and experiences here.

The Waiting Room - You've done it all and now you're just waiting on THE call. Vent with like-minded people on this thread.
