I think Ian McCall is amazing value at 11/4 (Bet365 & SkyBet) to upset Johnson. This fight is nowhere near as lopsided as the bookies have it..

I think McCall's only chance is a KO, which Johnson has never suffered. Demetrious Johnson by rear naked/guillotine for me.

Consta Phillipou by KO. Court has horrible stand up and has not felt anyone nearly as powerful

Putting a large bet on Ronda Rousey tonight. Disappointed her odds are so crap though considering she is fighting the champ.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,930 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

a few obvious one at short odds tonite and there worse bets
than the treble of schaub hominick and rory mac which works
    out at slightly under evens
seems hard to make a case for their opponents
ive added bocek thomson and blanco to that lot to bump it
    up to 3/1

other than that ive gone for michael mac donald on points at 2s
looks a cert to go to points and i feel its a coin toss
was 5/2 yester so missed out there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,930 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

loving the price on lavar johnson
the man's a beat and 7/4 is a sweet price

also like hendricks though now a measly 4/5

have singles on the above two from about a week ago

other one one ill do is diaz to win on points at 7/2 purely cause
i think its too big and theres not much chance of anyone stopping miller
especially in his own back yard
you can never count out one of the diaz brothers though

won a 90freebet in a paddy power comp (don't get to keep the stake)
was torn between hendricks and this but just

    Nice bet.
I would've went for the ko @ 5/2, but then I'm just greedy! :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 944 ✭✭✭loremolis

I was just putting a few squid on Johnson because it is good value at 7/4 and I see that JDs is 1/6 to beat Frank Mir who is a 7/2 underdog.

I'm not doubting that JDS is good but surely Frank Mir has enough solid wins under his belt and enough experience to warrant odds better than 3.5/1.

Plus, IMO, the current Frank Mir is the best Frank Mir.

I'm having some of those odds.

also a small bet on diaz points at 4s for me
it's a big price given its the only way diaz or anyone
    will finish miller

and lastly this ambitious 40/1 treble

Miller - Diaz is 8/5 to be FOTN. I'd nearly say free money here

its an awful price in fairness
i've lost track of the amount of times i thought i had a good
thing for fotn and it never worked out
I avoid that market like the plague since i got badly stung
    on jung v garcia 2
it'll be interesting to see if this one does but i'd be wanting 3s for it.
the fact that it will definitely go three rounds is probably
factored into the price and being the main event
it does look so likely though

The only time a FoTN was a dead cert was when Dana (Stupidly) let the Canadian fans pick it for an even in which GSP headlined, even though it was another boring 5 rounder the Frenchies voted for there boy, can't remember what event it was, but Dana has never done that since.

ill assume the bookies were on to that or maybe not
id love to know what price that was
that would have been free money in fairness
wasnt even aware of it myself until now

Dana was so disgusted he gave another FoTN to someone else and vowed never to leave it with the fans again, pretty sure it was his win against Kos

    that went well
only diaz stopping miller denied me a 40/1 treble
first time millers ever been subbed or stopped
i was really getting my hopes up after the first two obliged

    gone for 2 singles

lavar to win in round 1 2/1 (lads)
It's unlikely struve or lavar for that matter will see a 2nd round so it'll be a
lavar ko or a struve sub i reckon

    lavar to win at evens

    double of
    lavar + cb evs+11/10

JDS Cain Nelson Johnson Brandao and Barboza all to win 6/1 i know its 6 fights but think its worth a shot for 10 anyway

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,127 ✭✭✭✭Leeg17

Barboza win via KO is 11/10 on PP, really high and worth a punt imo.

Brandao win via KO is 23/10 also.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 11,139 Mod ✭✭✭✭Mr. Manager

After processing about 1,000 withdrawals in work and seeing people hit ridiculous long shots and sill accumulators I've decided to have a punt on everyone tonight. That's right, everyone.

Picked all the favourites in an accumulator :pac:

€1,100 if it comes through :)

Will also have a proper punt on Brandao and JDS.

4.40 for both of them to win by KO/TKO on PP.

Just took Brandao and JDS by KO/TKO for €50. Didn't get paid today so can't get any more behind :(
€220 return though will do nicely!

Stuck a couple of bets on a min ago.
The treble gets me a return of €60.
    The accumulator gets me €110.

    How much did you bet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,438 ✭✭✭✭El Guapo!

There's decent odds on pp for the Kampmann-Ellenberger fight.
Personally I think it's a tough one to call but I think Ellenberger will probably take it. But if you fancy a bet on Kampmann, he's 5/1 by sub or 4/1 on points. They're both decent prices because I think if he's gonna win, it'll be by sub or points. Or if you do the "Double Chance" option its 23/10.

My eyes must of been acting up thought it says won 700, meaning you had 2k on.

I lost a bit on Diego and Etim. But clawed most back on Cain and JDS

think kamp is value at the prices and if he's gonna win it'll surely

big price 4s for points so ill have a nibble on that one
finding it hard to call this fight

Yeah I agree it is very tough to call. I think Ellenberger will edge it but at a price like that I'm finding it hard not to put a few quid on Kampmann.

think there's money to be made tonite

my idea of a banker is this double

    fight to go the distance
    maia/kim yes 1/2
    griffin/ortiz yes 8/13
20 returns 48 on this so roughly 11/8 for the double

cant see any of these fights being finished inside the distance
    time will tell

tito looks a tad overpriced to me at 5/2 also

just very happy to watch the sonnen one without betting on it

jamie varner is 5/4 to beat joe lauzon next weekend (pp)

he was as big as 7/4 midweek but it didnt last long
    got on at 6/4 myself

i'd nearly have had him favourite myself especially after
    his display against ed barboza
I think a sub is lauzons only way of winning this one but i think
varner will put him away in the first

Looking at PP for next week's event.

Jones is a stupid 1/7 for the win but, IMO, AWESOME value on a Hendo Ko win, 11/1 for 1st round & 12/1 for 2nd round.

Odds like that for someone with Hendo's experience and punch is pretty damn good

Neither of those is a good price IMO.
He's available for a straight the win at 6-1, or KO win at 7-2, both of which work out at a better price than betting both 1st and 2nd rd KOs prices above. Plus includes the tiny chance that he wins some other way.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 599 ✭✭✭Ian Whelan

Jones by KO or TKO at 2/1 is much better value. If Hendo beats Jones then it'll be one of the greatest upsets in UFC history (but still not (in my view) as big a surprise as Serra beating GSP). That season of TUF was the best of them all, just like Rocky with GSP in the Apollo Creed role, they should do something like that again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,930 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

love the price on stann 6/4

    thats very generous imo
if bisbing wins then it its a points win for him (evens)
i would rule out any other method by which bisbing can win this

ive no doubt itll be stann pushing the action and its 23/10 that he
wins by ko which is a possiblility but to be fair to bisbing...only hendo
has finished him so i'll give him a little respect
another standout price it stann by points which is huge at 15/2 imo

so 15/2 and 6/4 it is for me
seems an age since i had a bet but theres been damn all on lately
    best of luck
