She has thrown in the towel before further humiliation is heaped on. One's mental health is a prized asset after all.

    Humiliation? Getting minced?

Why such aggressive language B? It’s all a bit intense and OTT.

As you can see with my conversations with the others participating in the thread, I’m mainly here for a bit of a chat to pass the evening.

Peace and love, my friend. Only 18 days to go.

I must light a candle in passing for your protracted struggle. Wait...the door is bolted. What a shame. I'm all out of raspberries also. It just hasn't been your night, alas a recurring theme lately. Godspeed your next blind date is mercifully short.

    Roses are red,
    Violets are blue,
If Graces7 wants her hay saved,
    Here's the one for you!

Right, I can handle a tiller, read tides, chase sheep, cook stew, make an apple tart.... What's not to like?
(I didn't read much beyond the tread title, hope I haven't picked it up wrong)

Are those your main criteria in a partner?

I’m fond of philosophy and I suppose I could learn to like Fair City? :)

I was all excited about tinder for boreds till I read about posting photos.
As someone smacked with the ugly branch I was hoping it was more about codding women into chancing a night out.
    Ah well :(

Aw no wonder nobody has posted any photos when that side of a house is what people are expecting.

Don't make assumptions about all of us ladies, that's not fair.
I absolutely never go for a man on his looks, ever.
It's only what's on his bank statement that's important.

Sounds like you’re a man with road frontage to offer.

I’ll up my offer of frozen pizza and teabags to a spaghetti bolognese and a beer.

He's who I'm trying to be though.

Maybe that’s the problem? I spent years trying to become what I thought guys wanted from me. Only recently I’ve placed huge focus on trying to be who I want to be.

I made it a big project: Therapy, books, apps, journals all aimed at accepting and liking myself. It’s hard work but I’m slowly getting there. Too soon to see how it impacts my dating life, especially with Covid, but I feel more hopeful than I have in a long time that there’s someone out there for me.
