Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've seen people face timing first dates. Doesn't seem right. I think body language is lost and flirty fun innuendos lost too.

Worst first impression you ever made?

Tipsy rather than drunk, I was 16 and it was my first drink, cider and black, bought by my older cousin- I walked on air that night, lovely feeling, hic.

How much alcohol, if any is in your home right now?

According to my Mrs too much, but for me not enough.

Last time you danced during a date?

I was 8 or 9 at a christening in the UK, on champagne no less.

Didn't realise it was alcohol in my defense... I just thought the adults were keeping some kind of new fizzy drink from me and I wanted to try it

    Have you got any houseplants?

Have you found technology more or less useful since the lockdown?

Yes it's been useful. Keeping informed, sharing information and being able to stay in contact with people.

Are we sort of on pause at the moment?

I'm not so sure we are. I think we are at a point where our actions of the last two weeks will start showing their effect now.

Do you think people are becoming complacent between summertime clock change, long evenings ans the notion that we would be on Easter holidays now anyhow?

I find it more annoying with the constant dings. All I want is peace and quiet and a good book.

    Your favorite genre of book?

Don't think I have a favourite. I like reading most things. I'll give you a least favourite instead.. horror. I'm easily scared.

No. I absolutely love my home. Wouldn't mind a second 'summer home' in Galway.

You hate me now don't you?!

No, hate is too strong a word, I agree with you.

    A big bag of hallucinogenics.

Apart from people, what one thing do you miss the most this past 2 weeks?

  • Registered Users Posts: 48,742 ✭✭✭✭Wichita Lineman

    Golf

Have you been to the credit union lately?

I'm not that kind of hippy :D

Easy access to various non ingestible items.

Do you think there's an upside to this, leaving aside the virus itself?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,104 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

@Witchita - never been to a credit union in my life.

@ Widders - yes, there are upsides. We have learned that during a global pandemic people do not hunker down with shotguns...they help their neighbors and the good side of humananity shines through. That and this could be the end of 'social influencers' and their snake oil.

How many hours sleep did you get last night?
