Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In addition to their mystery offers, they have a 'best of Ireland' and a foreman grill for €30 next week

    Haha. Good karma maybe!

Thats the kind of stuff the local tinkers do in my local. That and putting the nuts (in boxes that you scoop into a bag) into their hoody pockets :pac:

Did you take a pack to the till? I find in Lidl that it's not uncommon for the reduced-price SEL to be missing but the offer still scans at the till.

May be a new strategy - in Nutgrove the cakes and pork scan at Weekend Saver prices, but the cakes marked at original price and the pork unpriced in a special offer section (usual black type on cheap red vertical strips) with other priced meat . No in store Weekend Saver posters to prompt or check either. So effectively a low key secret sale only for those previously aware of the offers (and willing enough to take a punt in the absence of any other cue).

IF this is a thing, is it a perverse targeting of a very consciously motivated few that tries to avoid the inevitable "mass looting" and supply headache if advertised in store?
Or possibly encourage a decision to visit the following weekend - and to forget that reason why, by providing no visible instore reminders?

That book wasn't available in a lot of stores on Wednesday evening/Thursday last week. We asked a member of staff and they said that books were being moved to Mondays now. When you view the offers in them now Thursday the 14th comes first and then Monday 18th before it would have being Monday first and then Thursday

I shopped in my local LIDL yesterday, and have to say it was an unpleasant experience.

Lately, I notice some items not being stocked again. EG: The generic spray for vanish. Last 2 weeks none has been stocked in the store. I asked and was told they come in a box mixed with fabric freshener. There were 2 boxes on the shelf, and both full of the fabric freshener. A\nother thing: They stocked a liquid detergent for a few weeks a while ago. It was designed for sports activities. This product seems to have completely disappeared. I ended up going to our local Tesco to get the products LIDL don't stock:rolleyes:

Another thing I am not sure if it is unique to the store I shop in: They seem to be very short staffed. Yesterday the tills couldn't handle the volume of people wanting to check out.

Then to top it all off for me: I parked my car in a bay which had a shattered beer bottle strrewn on the ground. That's not LIDL's fault, just enhanced the unpleasant experience I had yesterday.

My apologies. The reason I put my rant here is because I haven't a clue where else to put it.

Also, I feel it's because of their cheap prices that the chaos ensdued yesterday.

Mods, please move my rant as You deem fit.

We must be lucky so. It only seems to happen tough if they have a lot an item.
