Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

These are a few photos (cameraphone) of Enniskerry from about 3.30ish. I'd just arrived back from Kilternan driving through the Scalp in complete whiteout. Very heavy snow, was absolutely beautiful and I was tempted to stop, but I was concentrating too much on driving and the car in front (well in front) which seemed to be RWD and was losing control every few meters as we slowly made our way past the Sports Hotel. It was pretty hairy stuff.

I think the novelty is starting to wear off - imagine if this weather is prolonged for the rest of the month :eek:.

Still pissing rain in D15 atm, hope to God it eases up or cools down soon, or else it's going to be a horrible day tomorrow.

Anyway, some pictures from Maynooth easlier on today. At about 4PM today, we had a monster blizzard, ground was soaked from the morning thaw, but sheer volume of snow made it stick

Here's the view from my Lab in College just before the sun set

Then a little earlier on overlooking the CS department

About 4:00 when the snow started to fall...

Then a pic from last night in castleknock

Quality could be better, but they were taken from my phone.

I think MET EIR are cr*p,they never get it right,Supercell and Francis(sky news)said rain tonight and its pretty well raining in Clane,only upthe road from Kilcock who are having snow,whats the story SC???.You are still my expert(hero!!!)

conditions are horrible outside here, heavy sleet, the ground is covered with slush, huge pools of water and some mounds of snow, everywheres filthy. at this stage i just want this to end and go back to a few weeks of dry weather.

I love snow,but as Gonzo says there is slushy snow and dirt everywhere.The price for the Fairytale.A price for everything:(.

Relax guys.
It may be horrible out there now but you might see more snow thursday-particularally in the evening in the East and loads of other places on Friday more especially the west and north.I stress could-watch this forum

BB I think it will be tomorrow night - hence the low temps progged for the East and Midlands on Thursday

The ECM showing something a bit different - possibly the backedge of the frontal stuff effecting Britain infringing on the East coast rather then showers.

No blizzards or snow for that matter here guys, just a light sleet shower. Temp 1.1c and DP 0.5c.

2 hrs 35 mins Dublin to Kells last evening and 3 hours today to get home.
I wish I could just get stuck at home. I seem to get to work fine, it's the getting home that's taking me an age.

Yeah, it looked brutal on the news. I pitty anyone on the M50 this evening!

I hate to do it.

But it goes without saying that it has been the best thread on the Weather forum if not boards!

Many people have seen their best snow in a decade.

There is another period of cold, potentially snowy weather on its way mind you but i think this easterly, continental cold spell is now taking its last few breathes, there still is a chance of snow overnight inland and over mountains aswell.

It's been a good one
