Is there any way of ordering this stuff online?

I tried the Aldi uk website, in theory with parcel motel it should be possible. Kept giving me an error. Will try again tomorrow.

Same here. Also tried parcel wizard but no luck. Address pal postcode seems to work though? But I gave up when I realised the jacket in my size was out of stock by the time I put in address pal details.

I got it to accept the delivery address no problem (using Address Pal, which is England rather than the north like Parcel Motel), but couldn't get a work around when it came to paying/ billing address. It insisted on a postcode.

The problem is that the UK address that parcel motel use is actually in Northern Ireland and Aldi are not offering online shopping or delivery in Northern Ireland at this time.

I rang Aldi customer care who confirmed this. Also sent parcel motel an email asking if they had an actual UK location and they told me they don't have one.

I am currently looking into whether or not there are any similar shipping services with an actual collection location in the UK but can't seem to find one.

What were you going to do about delivery? Would it still not be delivered to the UK address?

Address Pal is the An Post version of Parcel Motel - they'll deliver it with the normal postie, or for a lesser charge collect at a nominated post office. Both more than Parcel Motel.

It suits me better than Parcel Motel, as no issues getting post (and no courier faking my signature and just leaving it around the house which happens often), and sometimes the north is a postage charge and England isn't!

I was going to try and use Revolut finally. It has no problem me topping up my account without verifying who I am, but if I want to use those funds it needs ID that has to be passport that I keep at home unless travelling. To send it back to my account. I need proof of residence. ffs, it's stupid.

It should ask for the verification at the very first step if it's going to be doing that.

    Got sorted eventually with Revolut

    Edit again.

    That was an ordeal.

Ordered 2 camera things with Revolut. Had to use address pal for postage, but could still use DPD address on my Revolut Billing Address. Came to 92, plus whatever An Post charge me.

Thanks, Just did this and ordered Camera/Light FLY 6 type thing. With conversion and postage comes in at €51.60 delivered to my door.

Resolution is 1MP, which maybe where this camera falls down. Either the image is smaller than I would like or it is not 1080P.

I hadn't heard of that but it sounds good. How strict are they on the parcel sizes for home delivery/collection? I could collect it but it looks like the size of the parcel will exceed the max dimensions for collection but should be ok for home delivery.

Manual suggests the max size card it will accept is 32GB. Remains to be seen whether larger will work.

yeah that's on the description on their website too.

    - Includes 8GB Micro SD card, and can support up to 32GB class 10 Micro SD Cards

I think they have the exact sizes on the site, but I got an MTB helmet to home no problem! It is a couple of more quid than Parcel Motel, but I do find it quicker, and for me it's more convenient. Haven't done anything larger than that tbh - and home delivery is the main benefit for me, and I know and trust my postie!

at 1920 x 1080p that would make it 2 megapixel though, even though the site says otherwise.

So as you say, the image is scaled down or it is not 1080 p, or the site is just inaccurate.

I'm going to say it's the resolution that may be wrong, an it's in fact 1280 x 720 that is done on the Fly6 which is good quality generally

Just be aware that batteries including lithium-ion batteries (individually or as part of an electric device) are on the Prohibited Items list for An post address pal for international shipping.

I am sure you will get away with it,but I don't know how strict they are.

Dangerous, poisonous or infectious items, explosives, munitions of war, firearms, corrosives, acids, paint removers, oxidising substances, organic peroxides, compressed, liquidised or dissolved gases (including butane gas lighters or aerosols), flammable solids or liquids or materials liable to spontaneous combustion, paints, varnishes, dyes, radioactive materials), pornography or anything that would cause embarrassment in transit, living creatures, prescribed or dangerous drugs , mercury, materials deemed illegal or prohibited by any Government Authority, Perishable Goods, organic or biological materials likely to perish under normal transit conditions, IATA restricted articles - such as liquids, Items likely to cause injury to any other Item or person, unless An Post has agreed in writing to carry such Items subject to such conditions as determined by An Post.

No mention of Batteries, lithium or otherwise in their terms.

I see it here, http://www.anpost.ie/AnPost/MainContent/ChristmasChannel/Prohibited+Items.htm, but they they should be making it explicit in their Address Pal terms.

Must be some serious lock down on the Aldi site - not letting someone from the Channel Islands order it for me for delivery to address pal!

I'd a battery for my phone shipped through addresspal 2 weeks back. The parcel when I received it was smothered in red tape warning it contained a lithium-ion battery - nothing happened. Parcel Motel wouldn't accept it however hence using addresspal.

On the site it say 1920 x 1080p 1mp @30 fps, then says further down that its @ 25 fps? I don't think they even know themselves

I don't think they even know themselves
I'd imagine they rang up their chinese supplier of knock-off electrical gadgets: "do you have any of those bike lights that are, like, cameras? good, send us on a couple of boxes"

The resistance control is exactly like on my Elite Superchrono... perhaps is made by them? Can't be too bad either way :)

Did they have the canisters for sealing punctures and inflating the tubes with gas and gunk. Wouldn't put them near the road bikes but they are brilliant for punctures on the ride on mower, only used the last one I had last Sunday , worked a treat .

I was almost at the end of the purchase for the camera, and have set up address pal and even downloaded and transferred money into revolut, how do I use revolutionary to purchase when it's looking for a uk billing address, I know this is off topic, but just trying to get a camera fast-TIA-sorry for going off topic-I did search but couldn't find anything
