Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Valspar Championship

    Henrik Stenson made the cut at the Masters after a long streak of missed cuts. Add to that a good performance in Tandem with Justin Rose last week and he might just be getting out of that slump. He also has a good record at this event. 100/1 PP - 8 places. 125/1 with B365, 5 places.

    GL everyone.. Hoping that for the casual viewer (ie me) it'll show the caption with the player's name before he takes the shot :pac:

    I never know should I be willing the player to play a good iron shot on his 2nd stroke; or willing him to get/miss the putt... When the TV company is switching between players rapidly :D

    That's why I've only gone for one in each.. Alright if y'are on Tony - I think they must show about 80+% of his shots in real-time... I'm talking mainly days three and four (normally they follow certain groups around on days 1 & 2 - which is fair enough).

    And then Rich Bloody Beam, and these rubbish segments :rolleyes: Alright for strictly golf fans, but for the punter with a bet on I'm like Just show us the ruddy effin golf yez shower a k#£#t5 'tween gritted teeth ; else the neighbours ring da five oh :D

    Wells Fargo

    Francesco Molinari had 3 top tens in 4 weeks before missing the cut at the Arnold Palmer and the Players. Looked as if he was set for a top 20 finish at the Masters also before a shocking final round. Showing pieces of form and this track should suit him - he has 3 top 20 finishes to his name here. 1pt e/w 100/1 8 places PP.

    Phil Mickelson is too high now at 150/1 - his form is poor but he has a fantastic record around here and at those odds I can't help but see if he can get a good run going. 0.5pt e/w 8 places PP.

    Seamus Power after his covid break might be worth a flutter also - although I was hoping he might be a bit bigger but after shooting a 62 in Monday qualifying then his odds have been set slightly lower than you would expect. Good luck to him though back with the big boys. 250/1 PP 8 places 0.5pt e/w

    Betfred sponsoring it so they are going 10 places.

    Sullivan 35/1

    British Masters

    Justin Harding - been playing well on this swing of the Tour and nearly won twice in a row in Kenya. Should have won this tournament last year until a poor final round.
    35/1 1pt ew 10 places Betfred.

    If Renato Paratore can recover from whatever ailed him in Spain then a return to the same tournament of his last win could spark him. After his T12 in Austria he is well worth a punt - 110/1 0.5pt e/w Betfred

    Johnathan Caldwell 250/1 0.5pt e/w Betfred Another with a good finish at this event and Top 10s in Italy and Scotland, similar type events to this, show that he is well capable of placing.

    I’d be careful with return to the scene of his last win. Makes it sound like he won at the course.
    Doesn’t look like it’s doing Rasmus any good anyway, although he started with a 73 here last year at the UK championship.
    Nice to see Andrea Pavan stringing a decent 18 together. 400/1 with Sky, will have a euro each way!
    I’ll try Spieth, Matsuyama, Scheffler and Kuchar in the states this week.

    Hi guys.

    Does anybody know where I can bet on specific players to get a hole in one in the bigger tournaments?

    I done it on paddy power for the masters but haven’t found it on any site since

    Thanks

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,989 ✭✭✭Potential Underachiever

    I've done a fair few bets for this week, not so much on the outright, just other stuff I'm trying out...

    Wise 75/1
    Schwartzel 75/1
    Snedeker 90/1

    All E.W Top 8

    Backed Spieth @14 on the exchange.

    FRL I have Vegas & Kang at 100/1 and 150/1 respectively e.w top 6

    Vegas 11/5 & KH Lee 7/2 double to be Top South American and Top South Korean!

    Betfair have a 'popular multis' section so just scrolling through that and a few caught my eye...

    Leishman,Fitzpatrick, Matsuyama, Berger to finish Top 20 ..... 125/1
    Schwartzel, Wise, Mitchell, Piercy to finish Top 40 ......25/1
    Whaley, Power, Teater, Hadley to finish Top 40 .......250/1 (worth a Euro!)

    Best of luck!

    No idea but if you mean bigger tournaments like the majors, then the likes of those bets will probably be available from Monday onwards for the USPGA next week!

    Few smaller bets but they were my main :D

    Disappointed with Lowry, thought he would do well but capsized fairly quickly...

    Even more disappointed that Ancer came 2nd :( But overall still in profit...

    Forgot the British Masters started early so I missed the boat there although De Jager isn't having the best day today so I don't mind too much...

    Byron Nelson Outright;

    Big bet on DeChambeau this week, feel like this course will really suit him. Based in Dallas too and after last week's debacle and somehow moving to first in the FedEx standings he should be relaxed enough here, everything going very well for him apart from his driver but I'm hoping that doesn't matter too much on this course and with DJ pulling out he has an even better chance... 17/2

    Other bets on Scheffler and Skinny Willy because they've been playing this course "half their lives" according to Will... 18/1 & 28/1

    Tiny bets on Rozner and Catlin... Both bringing very good form over from the European Tour with Catlin especially looking to break into the PGA... 125/1 & 150/1

    Match-Ups;
    Found a few of these I really liked and a few I was interested in so lumped them all into multiples together...

    Scheffler vs. Berger - 10/11
    DeChambeau vs. Rahm - 10/11
    Fitzpatrick vs. Matsuyama - 4/5
    SW Kim vs. Palmer - Evens
    DeChambeau vs. Koepka - 4/6 (Might have a big single on this one)
    Noren vs. Gooch - 1/1

    Top Players;
    Again lumped these into some multiples...

    Top Asian - SW Kim - 13/5
    Top South Korean - SW Kim - 8/11
    Top Scottish - Russell Knox - 8/13
    Top English - Fitzpatrick - 5/6
    Top USA - DeChambeau - 9/2
    Top Aussie - Marc Leishman - 13/10

    Others;
    Scheffler Top 5, Willy Z Top 10, SW Kim Top 20 - 40/1
    Scheffler and Willy Z, Top 5 - 25/1
    Spieth Top 10 Finish - Evens (Decent bet on this)

    Yes, I know this is a lot but from the last few tournaments I'm just playing around with profits on this and the PGA next week :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,989 ✭✭✭Potential Underachiever

    Forgot to add I have 6 players to make the cut...

    Leishman, Spieth, Snedeker, Pieters, Wise, Uihlein, 10/1

    USPGA:
    Ladbrokes, PP and Boyles all e/w 10 places in shops.
    Very little difference in their shop prices on top 20 players.

    That romped home anyway! Shame I didn't back Lee to win never mid Top Korean! Got a place on Schwartzel and Sullivan in the Euro event, so not a bad week all in all.

    Still pondering the USPGA , not seeing too much value at the top end, so will probably just go with long shots and various other top 20, top 40 type bets.

    Looking at odds and they are a joke now with at least 8 golfers 18/1 or less and a fifth f odds a place . Be better off waiting until Saturday morning to see who made cut and have a bet then ..

    Bubba Watson has been really solid for the last few months. One thing you will need on Sunday is good nerve and with 2 Masters in the Bag I'll happily back him at 100/1 8 places B365. 1 pt e/w

    Emiliano Grillo has found a rich vein of form in 2021 - but he's been a bit inconsistent with it which is why his price is so high. T14 last week and his last eight tournaments read MC-T11-T21-MC-T6-T2-MC-T14. If he keeps that sequence up then he has a strong place chance. 140/1 on 365 but I'll take the extra 2 places on PP (10) 125/1 1 pt e/w

    Billy Horshel is a massive price. Won the matchplay and hasn't actually played much since but I reckon that win took a lot out of him and he could be ready to contend again after a quieter period. 125/1 and I'll take the 2 extra places with PP for him (10). 140/1 with Bet365 which I can't understand at all. 1 pt e/w

    Garrick Higgo is just 21 years of age but if he gets a good start I can see him announcing himself to an American audience in a big way. 125/1 Bet 365 8 places - 1 pt e/w , In great form on the ET.

    At 175/1 I think Cameron Champ is worth a flutter. He is one of the longest hitters on tour and since the Masters ( Was T2 early in 3rd round ) he has only played twice. First at the Zurich event with Tony Finau where they contended before a poor final round in the foursomes - I can forgive him that and he warmed up last week at the AT&T for this with some mixed form. His form overall has been gradually improving this year so he's worth 1 pt e/w Bet 365.

    Loads of multiples on these

    Doubles,Trebles,4-Folds and 5-Folds in profit as well as the singles... 6-Folds at a loss of about 50%, Scheffler's being voided was a bit annoying but oh well.

    Hovland over Xander - Evens
    Spieth over JT - Evens

    -9 or worse winning score - Evens

    No hole in one - Evens (My biggest bet of the week)

    Hoff lost...
    Champ is 100% missing the cut, hoping Cantlay loses a few shots.
    Got worried about the hole in one bet at the 14th yesterday but hopefully this wins.
    -9 or worse isn't looking too bad right now, until someone scores really low :o

    Just found an accumulator I did yesterday and forgot about...
    Skinny Will over Finau - 1/3
    Connors over Casey - 4/11
    Reed over Cantlay - 6/5
    Cam Smith over Simpson - 1/3
    Lowry over Westwood - 8/11
    Bryson over DJ - 1/4
    Scheffler over Cantlay - 4/6
    Hovland over Xander 4/11

    In around 26/1...

    Horsfield over Munoz and Pearce - Evens
    Grace over Hadwin and Hojgaard - 5/4
    Cam Smith over Rose and Woodland - 13/8
    DB over Stricker and Horschel - 6/5
    Perez over Uresti and McNealy - 11/10
    Pieters over Kooch and Cantlay - 5/2
    Mackenzie Hughes over Kanaya and Cook - 11/8
    Burmester over Koch and KH Lee - 13/10
    Catlin over MacIntyre and Champ - 9/4
    Scheffler over Zach Johnson and Hagy - 8/13
    Bubba over Stenson and Willett - 6/5
    Hovland over Westwood and Xander - 5/4
    Rory over JT and Brooks - 6/4
    Kokrak over Lewis and Na - 5/4

    Again, combined in multiples...

    This seems absolutely crazy putting on 4,368 .02c fivefolds that add up to €87.36 as well as all the other multiples :pac::pac::pac:

    I didn't back him but Phil was 200/1 on boylesports. I thought that price was insane, has he been injured this year

    Not that I know of... But I don't think he's finished in the top 10 of a major in 5 years. And he's missed the cut 4 times and only finished in the top 20 once since last year's Masters (Although I think he was 21st in this years?).

    Major Time = Major Money :D:pac:

    Outrights;
    Schwartzel - 90/1 CUT

    Top Finishes;
    Schwartzel Top 20 - 10/3 CUT

    Match ups;
    Fleetwood over Niemann - Evens CUT

    Top Players;
    Schwartzel - Top South African - 9/2 CUT

    Loads of multiples with;
    Pieters Top Belgian - 8/13 CUT
    Schwartzel Top South African - 9/2 CUT
    Harman Top Leftie - 11/5 CUT

    Cam Champ to miss the cut - Evens + Double with Cantlay (5/1)

    No hole in one - Evens (My biggest bet of the week)

    Cantlay started with par, double bogey, bogey, bogey and I thought I was onto a winner... He hit 2 more near the end but the 5 birdies inbetween were definitely good enough to give him a good 2nd round of +1 and 4 shots safe...

    Starting to get worried about the winning score depending on how hard the course plays over the next two days. Nearly lost the hole in one bet today too :pac:
    I added Van Rooyen @ 300/1 CUT (And quite angry about it at hole 17

    3-Balls today;

    Very poor with the 3-balls today, although a lot of them being lost on the final few holes. Branden Grace with a shocking last 2 holes to lose 3 shots, only tie the 3-ball and also throw away the lead. Smith with a bogey on the 2nd last hole to lose. Hovland with a horror show on 13,14 and 15. Rory with a bogey on each of 16,17 and 18.

    Could've been a nice day if two of them had held it :o

    Profits from 3-balls on Thursday gone so starting fresh for the 2-balls tomorrow :p

    Bradley, Lowry 80/1 (top 8)
    Dahmen 250/1, Schwartzel 150/1,Noren 250/1, Leishman 60/1, Hoffman 150/1 (top 11)

    As I said above, not really fancied much at the top end, looks to be no real value, so just done some small stakes long shots.

    Hoffman, Palmer, Willett Top 40 approx 55/1
    Davis, Morikawa, Dahmen Top 40 approx 33/1
    Harman, Conners, Bradley Top 40 approx 12/1

    I Dutched the R.O.W market with Davis, Bezuidenhout and KH Lee E.W Top 5

    Still have some interest, best Ican hope for is a place in the outright, Bez going ok in the top R.O.W market. The Top 40 bets, 1 is still live, feel unlucky about Harman missing the cut and disappointed with Palmer!
