Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gap in Dundrum have 50% off every kids Logo hoody in store. All sale items also have an extra 20% off. 2 items gap playtime clothes €12 and 2 long sleeved t shirts for older boys are €15. Short sleeved t shirts are around €6 I think.
    Offer ends in 2 days.
Some clothes are cheaper than Penney’s!

No idea! Blanch is an outlet so the deal is probably different?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,729 ✭✭✭Millem

Just to add if you download the gap+ app you get an extra 5% off and for every 5 pairs of jeans you get 1 free. There is 40% off all jeans at the moment.

Lidl have lovely wooden toys on sale at the moment.
They seem to be great value compared to similar looking items in Mothercare.

Was just digging out this thread to say the same. Just picked a few up and they seem good quality

We’ve gotten stuff there other years, and the quality has always been great. The train tracks in particular are very well loved in this house!

thanks for this, the little cake set looks loverly will have to keep an eye out. Was just looking around and god i hate the plastic toys putting a ban on them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,514 ✭✭✭bee06

Ikea have loads of lovely wooden toys as well and have a sale on at the moment if you’re in the family club thingy (basically if you have an account). I got the wooden kitchen everyone is always raving about for 56 Euro reduced from 70.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 249 ✭✭supersheeps

Are the wooden train sets from Lidl compatible with the Ikea one? Or even the trains themselves?

Yeah, the Lidl and IKEA ones are interchangeable. The only difference between the two is that the IKEA tracks are single sided, whereas the Lidl ones tend to be double sided, so you can flip the over and use them to connect left and right sided (if that makes sense).

Brio, have and bigjigs also work with Lidl and IKEA sets. TK Maxx often have big boxes of these sets and they usually start to appear in store around now.

Maybe its just me but I think Aldi missed an opportunity being a week or more later than Lidl with the wooden toys. Its not even updated on their website yet, it just says coming soon. People will rush out and get them in Lidl now first

I don’t have either house, but I got some of the lidl furniture last year for an old dolls house that’s in my parents house, and it’s great!

Has anyone seen any super duper bargains on maxi cosi bases? I broke mine the other day, and much as I’d love to avoid buying another, I just can’t manage without it.

What happened to your base jlm29, the isofix on mine no longer works but I can belt it in instead

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,729 ✭✭✭Millem

Lidl are selling pampers jumbo packs half price tomorrow and Sunday. €13 so no €6.50.

Mine wasn’t an easy fix, it was a different one that was only isofix. The bit ghat pulled out to release the seat snapped. I got another one though, I couldn’t deal with belting the seat in anymore!

Anyone know of any waterwipes bargains or even half reasonable prices out there? Everything seems to work out around €2.60+ a pack vs ~€2 it used to be.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,359 ✭✭✭stampydmonkey

Aldi and Lidl have versions of them which are excellent. Not the cheap wipes but an exact replica of waterwipes. Aldi ones a better but non biodegradable. The Lidl ones are biodegradable. Both are under a euro. We used to insist on water wipes but you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

  • Registered Users Posts: 75 ✭✭Bambinoonboard

Hi there, are these the Mamia ones? I bought loads of these in preparation for our little arrival and then someone told me to check the ingredients as they've more chemicals than you'd imagine. Never would have noticed myself until I checked. If it's something that affects your decision in using, might be a little heads up. Otherwise shop away :D They're also so much cheaper........

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,359 ✭✭✭stampydmonkey

Never actually looked at the ingredients. Both Lidl and aldi have versions of biodegradable wipes now and that's what we use. Must look up the ingredients but they are cheaper than water wipes, do the same job but are biodegradable. The kids aren't eating them so all good for us
