None of them would budge from the prices they had quoted. I contacted Claddagh last and they offered €235 so they got my business.

    €390 for 832 this morning

Happy with that. Advertising €460 for 1,000 on the web. H

Casey's in Roscommon town , 39.9 cent a litre at the pump.
I have 4 ,25 litre drums. Three short trips this weekend and that's my tank full.

Really? That's less than €200 for 500 litres, don't think there's anywhere doing that delivered.

No way.. The pump cheaper than the tanker? I don't believe it for a second.

Very easy to have a look on FB Casey's Londis Roscommon is their FB page, they post a photo of their pump price each time they reduce it. Today's price is 39.9.
Curious why do you think I 'm lying?

It's at the pump, you fill your own containers. It's what I have been doing for the last few weeks.
I moved into to my home 15 years ago my first fill was at 48 cent a litre or €480.
I wil be getting 300 litres in the next few days to top off my tank for €120.

Fair play, that's a brilliant price. It's the complete opposite here in Wexford. I was getting adblue yesterday and the pump price for kerosene was 77.9, sorry for being accusatory but I've never seen that before.

No bother, that particular premises has a history of being incredibly competitive on fuel prices.
I live equal distance from Roscommon town and Athlone. While as of today the price is Ros is 40 cent at the pump it's still at 70 cent at the pump in Athlone. Far larger population in Athlone and numerous suppliers. Got to love competition.......

Funny you say that, the premise I mentioned has loads for sale.
Although if you want some go on your local buy and sell FB page. JohnnyXMarie or some such will sort you with a few.

    .56c for 500l

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,674 ✭✭✭obi604

    Galway. looking for 500 litres
got quotes online and then rang around.
the online quotes were always more expensive.

    prices ranged from 260-285

then rang Claddagh oil - initially said 250 and then came down to 235 after a 2nd call.

    so 47 cent a litre.

Been keeping an eye on that website for Dublin and prices are getting updated every day. I'd say it's more the local suppliers not submitting updated prices as often. More competition in Dublin

For anyone in Waterford, Jones Oil on Cork road quoting €235 for 500l so 47c per litre.

Curran Oil going €430 for 1000l. They cover Cavan, Meath, Westmeath, Longford and parts of Kildare and Dublin.

I may have jumped the gun getting it for €500 just over a week ago.

Mayo (ballina area) prices as of 8/4/20
    Top oil 500L €245 1000L €470
    Jones oil 500L €250 1000L €470
    Reilly Oil 500L €260 1000L €500

Just in case anyone is wondering

    Kildare
    Capital oil €419

Plenty of suppliers in Dublin, Kildare, Laois, meath, offaly at about €420

I can't see it going lower as oil prices jumped 30% since 2nd April and have steadied at av. $32 for Brent - that equates to about a 6c rise which will feed in soon.

Also cuts out the argument that prices rise quicker - its 10 days since oil prices jumped 30%!
