Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey man, Brush Music is real interesting, i get it a similar vibe of it that i get off Lemon Jelley, that same happy go lucky buzz....the whole build is very good, nice and euphoric. The drums are sweet.

The breakdown at 2:00 is really nice...about the only thing i would change would be at about 3 minutes i would bring it all back, real HARD, big soundscape, lots of strings....really amp up that euphoria.

I can really see this going down a treat at a festival man. Lovely stuff.

On Influences, i love the drum man, lovely sound.

Looking forward to hearing more of your stuff.

    Cheers mate, I appreciate it!

EDIT - Yeah.. Thats good Music Man. Really like your stuff.

Like the mix between live instruments & the electronics. Is it Guitar & live drums somewhere in those 2 new tracks?

    Top Stuff.

Cheers mate! The guitar i recorded through Guitar Rig 3, wicked piece of software. The drums are sampled and programmed in live.

    BoshellCody-speakerhook-djmag700sma.jpg

    Artist: Boshell & Cody
    Title: Speaker Hook.
Mixes: Original, Astronivo & The Aural Asylum.
    Label : Omnis Recordings

Next up on our humble little label is none-other than Christian Boshell, one of the three musketeers here at Omnis , along with his illustrious studio mate Brian Cody...and together they bring you...SPEAKERHOOK. This package is quite honestly one of the most exciting releases we've had on the label to date with remixes from AstroNivo and The Aural Asylum.

The original Boshell & Cody mix is a deeper-hypnotic chugger, chalk full with moody pads and stabs that will undeniably send your head to the moon. Great as an opener, it's quite the vibe setter to say the least.

On remix #1, label regulars AstroNivo have done quite the job of taking their rendition straight to the club, with a big-room tribal-percussion-lead rocker. These guys are set to blow up and with their recent Primo remix been played by Laurent Garnier and Vinortsa off the stellar Hasamba EP finding it's way into Sasha's box, they are NOT to be taken lightly. Check this one out when your ready to let your hips go!

And last but absolutely not least, we have another Boshell project, this time with former US Cream resident Casper under their The Aural Asylum moniker. Drop your c**ks and grab your socks because this ones seriously en fuego! Do not take this remix lightly. It will jump start any set and really takes some interesting turns, particularly after the first break. If you are looking for something to drive the floor and head to the peak hours, this is definitely the tool to get you there, no question.

This release is currently being supported by Martijn ten Velden , Desyn Masielo , PQM , Kosmas Epsilon , Randall Jones , Anthony Pappa , Kevin Swain , Jamie Stevens (Infusion) , Par Grindvik , Kasey Taylor , Jody Wisternoff , Tim Andresen to name just a few ……

Check it out here : https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/label/detail/829/Omnis%20Recordings

That's my channel. If you look to the right, under 'Uploads', you'll find all 4 of my mashups.
Clicking on 'More Info' will show you the entire list of tracks used.

I make them with Cubase and Transribe!.

PLEASE feel free to leave comments and/or requests.

NB: I had to split up the 1st one because of the 10 minute, but do listen to the second half, because it's got some of the strongest material I've put together.

Any opinion on the first track good or bad welcome. First one that I've worked for a few hours on. Really a novice so any advice welcome.
Most of the others on the player are just a mishmash of things.

PS please ignore the stupid name.

I have been waiting for something from yourself man. Love this tune. The drum is just peachy, really rolls along very nicely. The build/intro is nicely put together....that airy choir/vocal thing you use there is perfect!

Oh yeah man, glitch those drums ( am listening as i type )....LOVELY when it all pulls back in at 2 mins. Really nice use of the glitch man, not too much, not too little. Really like this tune man, the ending is uber sweet.

Really nice man, at around 3 mins is one of the cooler things i have heard in a while.

As a track, it might benefit from mixing the wobble up a bit, but i really like this man.

Quick question before uploading tracks - do you guys compress your tracks before uploading them to soundcloud?

Mine are taking forever & my internet tends to drop at regular intervals so uploading a big file will be difficult...

Nope, most of mine are 320 wavs, and they go up pretty quick, but i have a decent connection.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 282 ✭✭Quiggers

erm! 320 mp3's, i up mine at 192kbps, which is fine cause soundcloud
and myspace all resample them so they can stream them. soundcloud will accept full 44kHz 16bit wav's but even with broadband thats gonna take an age, and the soundcloud server will probably time out and boot you.
You can use audacity (free ware) to transform the wav file into mp3, this will drastically reduce the upload time but not the audio quality.

    Sounds grand Mate.

    2 ideas though for you:

The Vocals are a bit out of time. Can you chop them up & position them a bit better so that the phrases are in time with the backing?

The Synth needs a bit of variation to it as well I'd say.. a bit repetitive. Maybe drop it when the vocal comes in & do a really slow, long filter up?

i know i should know better than to post an unfinished piece here but ive spent all day from 9 this morning to 11:30 at night working on this and im questioning what ive done with it.

its a bag of ideas at the moment,i think i might have tried to turn a simple groove into something alot bigger than it can be but then again i think on some level it works(i could be wrong on that one)
anyway its very rough, gonna finish it tomorrow after i figure out what to do with it.

i do love the intro though so i reckon ill be doing a dub version of it.:pac:
