Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was doing the landmine press the other night and then wondered where the word ‘landmine’ comes from what’s the link or how does it relate to this exercise.

A landmine is an explosive device in the ground etc not sure how it links to this exercise.

The name is related to the landmine attachment and not the exercise.

A ‘landmine attachment’ looks like this:

This does not look like a landmine, a landmine from what I know are circular and flat etc

If you don't like the name, call it something else.

Ok. Not sure what your problem with me is. I offered an answer but you said it was wrong so i added a picture and said you don't have to call it that if you don't want.

But I am pretty happy go lucky.

I never said you were wrong.

Maybe it’s just the way you write things, but you always seem a bit grumpy.

I don't think it looks unlike an landmine tbh.

I mean, I can tell the difference, and won't be worried about stepping on one in the gym. But I can see where the inspiration came from.

And when the attachments are all in use at the gym grab a towel and wrap it around the end of a barbell and sit it into the corner of a solid wall. Does the same thing. Then its called a towel press.

You're thinking of the hot press, which is slightly different. What you described is the corner press as used by Westside

That's just stupid. Nobody brings towels to the gym.
